Hii
Xbox is currently outperforming playstation 4.5
Ohh my fucking god, here you go again, smh dude 😶
Playstation has no games
For you we can have in the future a kinda of rtx for minecraft??
Ok fanboys relax I'm say just hi !
For god sake dude, stop saying ’right’ all the time
waiting for tools tools lolololol new name is the excuses box
The consoles are to close in performance and both suck at raytracing. The only difference between them will be resolution differences.
i would say, there are 4 things on my mind causing these issues: DX12, Streaming issues, bugs in toolsets and architectual latency dependend issues. Porting might also be an issue, some would call that as a lazzy dev problem… but that then really is a driver or toolset issue not the devs.
This is really on Microsoft why the performance keeps jacking up and down all the time.
Perhaps MS can patch these out on the console internally.
3rd party games have always performed adequately well on Xbox last gen consoles.
And don´t forget that Assassin´s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5 and other games have been patched up in the last weeks on both consoles.
So these things are always changing.
The fact that The Division 2, Hitman 3, Ghost Recon did perform incredibly well (Because they were backwards compatible)
Funny how works, and quite intriguing.
According to one of Unity Engines principal developer Sebastian Aaltonen both PS5 and Xbox have different strengths and weaknesses. Both PS5 and Xbox have different strengths and weaknesses. Here is his exact quote:
Reminder: Most of the time GPUs are not 100% ALU bound (red graph = ALU usage). Comparing the theoretical FLOP rates of GPUs doesn't give you the full picture. TMUs, bandwidth, caches, register files and geometry throughput are all very important parts of total GPU performance.
For people using this tweet as fuel for console wars:
Each added CU also brings TMUs, a vector register file and a L1$ to allow more concurrent work. CU is much more than just the ALUs. On the other hand higher clock rate speeds up everything. Different advantages.
This investigation compares higher CU count vs higher clock rate, including information how it affects the SOC price (yield) and power usage:
anandtech.c o m/show/16489/xbox-series-x-soc-power-thermal-and-yield-tradeoffs
Worth reading, if you want to know more about these trade offs and how it affects the whole system design.
Wider execution never yields perfect scaling. Not all processing parallelizes perfectly. However narrow execution with higher clocks (to obtain the same performance) results in worse perf/watt. Both designs choices are plausible. Different trade-offs in cost/perf/heat/noise.
I was reading a thread where people assumed that GPUs are most often ALU bound. The best way to avoid needless debate is to show measurements. Luckily Microsoft allowed me to post this Xbox PIX screenshot in my GDC 2018 slides. Console tools show data that matters in a clear way.
Madz buddy think about it that way… If you're playing a game for 30hrs on Xbox vs playing it on PS5. If Xbox has better graphics and resolution, but a few dips in FPS, you would have 30hrs of higher quality graphics and resolution, with only 20 seconds of FPS dips (OUT OF 30 hrs of gameplay)…
I mean let's chill out with fps dips between Xbox and PS5… They both usually aim 60fps witg Xbox normally having higher resolution and graphics. If Xbox was only aiming 30fps while PS5 was 60fps, I would agree, but that's not the case.
Xbox is the one that needs to address it, perhaps have a stricter release certification where the games are examined before release. I do think though that the problem is on Xbox side because even GEARS 5 had issues to the point of even breaking the 1X version, dropping it to very low framerates. It wasn't until HIVE BUSTERS that GEARS 5 got fixed again. I think the GEARS dev talked about it. Xbox needs to figure it out because I agree it really can be annoying if you not getting the bang for your buck.
I guess that xbox fanboys are back on the losers side yet again, ps fanboys were on the losers side when the state of play event was garbage there exclusives were confirmed to come to pc, let's see the reaction on these ps fanboys cause know there trashing xbox for getting outperformed by ps5, let's see if they keep that same energy when God of war comes to pc.
I 100% completed DiRT 5 before it came to gamepass. I enjoyed it but DiRT3 is still my favorite. I hope that gets fpsboosted, I'd love to get the rest of the achievements.
Where the crying ponies at?
Like Alex Battaglia said, people want to poke fun at the "tools" being the issue but that's pretty much the reality of it and DF said this would happen even before the consoles even launched. Anyway, can't really blame sunny funboys for griefing xbots about it. If the shoe was on the other foot xbots would be doing the same.
PS got a genius in cerny Xbox has a illuminate wizard
Cerny says its dangerous to rely on tflops and cu units
Funny you ask the question and right after that. you answer the question your looking for
Stop crying stop whining salty crying babby
Xbox has terrible SDK ….many tried to tell you guys this for a while but nope….you all believed the power narrative. Too much hype and Xbox did not deliver
