  1. The Outriders demo alone is one of the best games I've ever played. There are elements of Destiny, The Division, Mortal Combat (gratuitous gore), and Gears of War in the game. The awesome abilities, gun mechanics, and gear complement and strengthen each other. The story is fantastic. The voice acting is good. The cutscenes are well done and extensive. The build system is simple to understand, easy to use, and meaningful. So what needs to be fixed? The cover system needs tweaking. Cutscenes have a lot of camera shake, and they end abruptly which reduces the immersion a bit. Motion blur is ridiculous, and the music is way too loud. But this demo is so good. If the full game delivers what the demo has on tap, Outriders is a GOTY contender imo. Finally, Outriders' vision of the future is so much more compelling than Cyberpunk 2077 and certainly not as boring.

  2. Need?
There is absolutely no need to play this game, much buying it. Read some Reddit posts and you will understanding why people dislike this game!
maybe it has to do with mandatory and forced online connection and linked accounts?
i've had it with games like Division, Anthem, Marvel and now this! "Online"connection"
Square can keep it for now. Maybe i pick it up on a deep deep sale and when online have been skipped for a single player experience!

  4. I’m getting serious Anthem vibes from this game. Maybe because of the amount of cutscenes and loading screens and very little else besides learning to shoot and run in the first half hour or so I played. The story seems to be kinda thrown together to fit the gameplay and is all over the place. The controls seem a bit clunky and shaky cam during cutscenes doesn’t do much for me. Also if you play on Xbox; switch the vibration off in controller settings. They seem to keep it on for minutes at a time for no apparent reason.

  5. This feels a hell of a lot like Mass Effect 2. Not sure if that's a compliment or a fault given the game is a decade old. The gunplay seems nice but a little simple – not much variation in how guns "feel". The classes themselves are probably the biggest sell-point. The story seems like it's been injected with Final Fantasy madness 😂

  6. Tried the demo but I have some issues. Firstly, I think the pacing is way off – don't start a looter shooter with 'follow this guy and talk to him' as a mission. You need to crash straight into action and then double back to explain, not start with slow and dull. Second thing is you make this worse if the sound and screen sync is waaaaay out and gets worse as you go through. By the time I got to the cut scenes after rescuing Jakub the dialog bore no relevance to what the characters were saying – in a cut scene! There were jaws wagging with no dialog playing. And my last issue is with the actual writing: in a number of places it made little to no sense, and it's often extremely corny. I will acknowledge that much of this may be due to playing on a vanilla PS4, but it's put me right off a game I was actually hyped for. Anyone else on vanilla PS4 have the same issues? People on PS5 can you confirm the voice sync and cutscenes run better on PS5?

  7. I will compare this game to Outer Worlds – ppl expected gemstone because great Devs and graphics but gameplay was meh ( RIP ) . Now just after death of Anthem and failures of Destiny, death of Avenger ppl want another Looter Shooter just like them but this game is generic, even boring, trying to mix division + Gears of War and Anthem in one but maps and story are HORRIBLE and hype will burry this game just like Cyberpunk

  8. Still the biggest issue is the healing system. If you want to be a sniper you can’t. You have to play aggressive!! Not too mention playing aggressive being go go go 100% of the time is not fun. You can never just relax in the game because of that healing mechanic.

  9. Once you get through the cut scenes, of which there are so bloody many, the game isn't half bad, seems my destiny clan has all but left and its just me and the founder, this could be what I need to spark up again.
