WHY You SHOULD NOT Build Physical Damage | Genshin Impact Classroom

Currently, physical build is heavily reliant on good artifact stats. They rely on superconduct to reduce enemy physical resistance. In this video i talk about why physical character is currently bad, and how Eula might change things in the future. I also talked about some cool gameplay mechanics

  1. Why does f2p use physical? The reason is extremely obvious and simple, the domains refuse to drop any good 4 pieces pyro or electro artifacts.

I tried physical Keqing for the 1st time after the new domain, even 2 pc bloodstained + 2 pc pale flame far outdamages the trash 4pc thundersoother I had for months.
"Keqing's constellations only benefit electro", dude I'm f2p, what constellations?

  2. You said it yourself, element damage increases are almost only for the whales. Its not unimaginable that F2P players that cant farm Artifact domains day in day out would be able to more easily build a physical damage set from the artifacts they get from just using all the resources they have to level up from flowers, etc.

  3. to me i think razor is so good because you can do both high physical damage with superconduct while also dealing good damage through his and xingqiu's ults
a team of razor, fish, xingqiu, diona is perfect because you can apply both superconduct and electro charged
but yes i mainly raised razor/physical because i can farm every domain and not be restricted early on in the game

  4. Nope you’re wrong. Physical damage is popular (needed) because of spiral abyss floor 11 where there’s a bonus for having physical attack damage. It’s increased by 75%…. so you’ll need physical damage to clear that floor. If you’re clearing floor 11 without physical damage it’s because you’re too much of a whale to notice this important detail lol. Enviosity needs to build physical damage because floor 11 is actually too hard to clear without physical damage (unless you’re a whale and can “brute force” elemental reaction through it lol)

  5. WTF! That's why when I use Mona's taunt and then Diluc's ult, the enemies are deleted but using Diona's E and then Diluc's Ult doesn't delete enemies sometimes. I didn't know that reverse reactions are better dps.

  6. I'll give you my own reasoning for not caring about elemental reactions that much.. some character reactions are so laggy on mobile phone.. the worst is venti (I know he's anemo).. right after burst, I can't switch to any other character due to the lag..

Characters with simple skills like fischl oz doesn't cause a lot of lag so she's a lot more playable and I don't have to rely on elemental reactions to do dmg..

also playing on mobile .. switching around characters can be a pain.. I still do it but if for some reason I can't, well I can still hit hard enough with phys dmg..

Last but not least… I still haven't had any trouble with any events or monsters.. so 🤷‍♂️

  7. Damn Mihoyo must be sweating buckets now seeing most people thrash Eula like this since 1.5 leaks. Mihoyo recently buffed Eula cuz they knew that most players would either pull for Zhongli or save up for Inazuma characters. They even give physical damage buff on the current Spiral Abyss to entice players to build physical damage carries except Mihoyo has shot their own foot there by doing that. Cuz Ganyu and Venti completely outclasses all of the physical dmg carries in the current Spiral Abyss despite physical damage buff being completely useless to them lol. Not to mention, Zhongli's shield is a life-saver in Floor 12 and Azhdaha's boss fight.

So yea, Mihoyo has done a poor-ass job at encouraging players to pull for Eula especially with the upcoming 1.6 character who is going to be a five star version of Sucrose. As a Eula simp, this is good for me. Cuz if everyone hates Eula prior to her release, then it means Mihoyo is going to buff her again lol. I hope they reduce her elemental burst energy cost cuz 80 energy cost is complete ass for a five star character.

  8. Just to clarify it is still possible to complete all content with just physical because i use Razor and Physical keqing to clear abyss (36 star) yes abyss do have physical buffs but i can still 36 star previous abyss with keqing and razor. But its way easier to use elemental damage just because of the resistance monsters have so don’t just replace your really good physical builds just because code said its bad compare to elemental reaction because its still 100% possible to clear most content with just physical builds. Oh also using physical character is way easier than using elemental character just because all you need to do is super conduct and use your off field supports

  9. idk I just use anemo damage because Xiao, Jean, and Sucrose are my faves, and building physical Fischl because the banners keep giving me Rust but I'm Childeless lol

  10. meanwhile I’m an f2p player that mains anemo and geo because I like the characters with these elements Smoge I’ll just continue to struggle in abyss until I find a non-anemo or geo character that I wanna main

  11. Probably a dumb opinion but it might be because there's a free Diona and people are probably thinking about running her with Razor. Though I'm not sure why they don't just run a melt comp if that's the case…

  12. I'm sorry Mr. Code, but some things are just meant to be… and that's Eula stepping on me. I won't be coming to class next time 😔

  13. Unlike anemo and geo, physical damage is much more affordable for f2p players. You have said that the only way to increase physical damage is through superconduct, which is not true. There are quite a few weapons that have a bonus specifically to that type of damage. Stacking Elemental/physical damage bonus is the single best way to increase your damage, and it's even better then crit stats unless you exceed 100%. Some other buffs to physical damage: Bennet's ult works on all damage types, Rosaria can increase your crit chance and is cryo so that's part of superconduct. Zhongli's shield further reduces resitances to enemies close but you would need that specific 5star which not every F2P player will have.
Additionally there are only a few enemies in game that are outright immune to physical damage, so you can get away with putting all your resources into a single hyper carry, instead of splitting it between 2 carries.
Being F2P means that you have to play with what you have. My first two 5-stars were Keqing and Aquila Favonia, so this is what I have been building around. But until I hot the Aquila, I was doing pretty well with Prototype Rancour. Physical damage is fairly viable for F2P, mostly because good supports like Fischl, Rosaria and Bennet work well with it.
