  1. I used to love FTN and wait for every episode, because of you Paul and the others (Val, Ricky, etc) always brought interesting ideas and stories about releases, rules or tournaments and your interaction was always fun to listen to.
But since a few weeks (months?) I didn't feel that enthusiastic about listening to the show anymore. This episode made me realise why. It's Adam. I'm pretty sure that Adam is a great guy, I respect his enthusiasm for the game, his knowledge of the game, but he is always ranting and jumping to conclusions. He's also not really bringing anynew or unique ideas to the table. I get the same impatient, criticising, negative attitude and ranting from any other 40K source, be it reddit, facebook groups, message boards, or other podcasts. I can read the articles too. But you know what? Maybe this wouldn't be an issue, because that would make a good counterpoint to Reds style and persona. But Adam talks to much and won't shut up. I know it comes with the job, but he cuts off Red regularly, which aside from being disrespectful, is starting to become infuriating, because I would listen to his oppinion and insights too. As well Paul is pushed to the sidelines in his own show.

Sorry for the harsh criticism, you guys probably feel different about this and maybe some of the things I throw at Adam are unjustified and my own subjective impression.

  2. Couldn't agree with you gents more on this one.
    1) I feel like they changed DR so they could have the Contagions of Nurgle ability (I assume this was filmed before that was shown).
    2) the excuse of "reducing dice rolls and speeding up the game" is really hollow as you look at all the ways marines can get FNP.

  3. My brother is talking about selling his DG as he thinks this weakness to lasguns as a real fluff issue. The effictiveness against lasguns is not so good on the maths. If the plague surgeon gives a feel no pain it would be contrary to his current lore as when a plague marine dies there is nothing left to fix.

  4. 'They're getting rid of the old DG to streamline the game, you know fewer dice rolls' … looks at the new reanimation protocol, SM Apothecary rules, yeah right. Speed things up my fuzzy arse. I also love how many people have said ' It'll be great against 2W weapons, like overcharged plasma.' Who in Nurgle's green garden is going to overcharge plasma against anything with this new rule? It's more likely to kill your own troops than any of Morty's boys. I get that Disgustingly Resilient needed to be changed due to the two wounds SM and that it is a buff in an SM meta but it's huge nerf for things like daemon engines and Morty himself and against mortal wounds. It's also easy to work around in non-tournament games where you know who you're facing.

  5. the book will clarify but …. but its shit for vehicles however you look at it. blighthawlers -1 dmg waaaw …. survived a full barage from a knight because the stars aligned for resilient …. now they would be wiped …. its clear you are talking from a sm point of view
