Halo Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The sixth main entry of the Halo series, and the fourteenth Halo game overall, it picks up the story of the Master Chief, following Halo 5: Guardians. Halo Infinite was planned to release with the Xbox Series X/S on November 10, 2020, but was delayed in August 2020. It is now planned to be released in late 2021. On August 27, 2020, 343 Industries announced that Joseph Staten, the former lead writer and cinematic director of the Halo series at Bungie, had joined as Campaign Project Lead for Halo Infinite. In this video DreamcastGuy talks about his concerns for Halo Infinite on Xbox Series X after seeing the gameplay and delays. On October 28, 2020, it was reported by Bloomberg News that director Chris Lee had departed the project. On December 5, 2020, Bruce Thomas, the mocap actor for Master Chief in Halo Infinite, stated in an interview that “it [Halo Infinite] is in the can, and ready to go for next spring.” Soon after, on December 8, 343 Industries disclosed in a blog post that Halo Infinite will be released in late 2021.

  1. I personally think it will hert it sins ever since 343 took control of halo thay have had a mess after a mess the only semi ok halo game thay ralesed was halo4 and that was not racived the best and halo 5 is strate trash and a blatent cash grab with all the loot boxes etc and this new halo looks like it will be just halo5 on steroids with all the micro transactions boolshit.

  2. Best case scenario, it won’t hurt it, but it won’t boost it either. 343 hasn’t done anything with the series that you would call noteworthy, like Bungie was. Best the can do is do better than lowered expectations. Lord help them as well if there are Microtransactions to begin with and the game is subpar.

  3. I feel like the developers were pressured to show Halo Infinite too early. Least they showed something. Metroid Prime 4 which I been waiting forever showed nothing!

  4. Yes it will. They need to cancel it. It’s going to be underwhelming and not live up to the hype or worse yet be a Cyberpunk 2077. They are building up things with the Series X, no need to tear it down with a tired franchise like Halo.

  5. I hope that Microsoft eventually gives ID software a shot at making a Halo campaign at the very least, possibly multiplayer as well. I know they dabbled in map creation tools for Doom 2016, and there was decent multiplayer for Doom Eternal, so it might now be out of the question. But boy, an ID singleplayer in the Halo universe. Sign me up!!!

  6. If the next Halo is less than a A+ with the audience and fans that’s it. They’ll either reboot or put the series on ice. 343I direction and MS’s marketing department has not done the overall brand any favors. It’s been echoed by many that they should have been cultivating new IPs and bringing back old ones and not turn them into micro transactions fests.
