  1. They will. However I do see everything being digital in the next ten years so it will only be for older games. To be honest I'm mostly buying digital now especially since ps4 games are playable on ps5. It's just easier. You have to install the disc anyway so it's not like a disc is quicker.

  2. Pre- PS3/ 360, yes…. as long as they work. Post PS3 /360…. because of necessary patches and the lack of the game actually being on the disc… I can’t see it sadly. What’s the point of buying a disc you can’t play, even if you have a working console, after the necessary services to download the game goes away.

  3. No. How many things do you care enough about to collect from 50+ years ago? Not much I'm sure. The amount of people that will spend money on video game collections will get smaller each decade. My point is these are toys that stop working eventually and were mass produced. It will have it's Babe Ruth's and Spiderman #1s that will hold some value. But most of it is late 80s early 90s wax pack baseball card garbage in the long run.

  4. I think there will be a period of time that they will lose their collectibility until people start losing and damaging the discs for the PS2 and up (when console gaming went "mainstream"). I think there's just too many of them for them to have the scarcity that's needed for something to be, truly collectible.

  5. I’ve always been of the mind of alien existence personally. You’re telling me of all the galaxies in the universe and so many unexplored areas that we aren’t able to get to that Earth is the only planet with any life? It makes no real sense.

  6. As an "investment". The window to buy "retro" was late 90s to early 2000s. If you haven't sold yet, you should have because we've been on the downhill for awhile now.
As collecting. Enjoy your stuff, but understand it won't always work and you won't get back what you put into it, monetarily.
