  8. If G2 get out group in 2nd place, they are very likely to meet DWG/TES(supposing both team rank #1 in their groups) in knock-off stage. The possibility is 2/3. Same thing to Group C 2nd team.

  9. I think we should address the elephant in the room once and for all …
    The elephant in the room isn't the draft, the elephant in the room isn't Jankos, isn't Nidalee, isn't Perkz, isn't Caps, Wunder, Mikyx, Grabbz or freakin Ocelote.
    The elephant in the room isn't what happened at lvl 1, the elephant in the room is what happened at 6:40 (I'm talking about the game, not the video, so go watch it if you want to know what the heck I'm talking about).
    The elephant in the room is that G2 in 2020 looks like the dumb brother of JDG: while JDG plays ON the edge, G2 CROSSES that freakin edge all the time.
    Let me elaborate.

    Go watch their semifinals against FNC. Go watch it and start counting every time you think "THEY REALLY THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS?","THEY REALLY THINK THIS INSANITY CAN WORK?","WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT THIS WAS THE RIGHT CALL?". If you lose count, don't worry, it's ok.
    I mean, ffs … They overstep, they overextend, they overcommit, they OVER EVERYTHING. I don't know why, but it's so damn clear.
    Sometimes maybe it's because they're in a hurry, sometimes maybe it's because they want to rush things, sometimes maybe it's because they fail to read the situation, sometimes maybe it's because they overrate themselves, sometimes maybe it's because they underrate the opponents, sometimes maybe it's because they like to troll and run it down just for the sake of it.
    And I'll be honest with you: there are also credits to give on that. Because it's so freakin rare to see a team where EVERYBODY'S on the same page ALL THE TIME. Cuz when they commit … THEY COMMIT. If they decide to go fight inside enemy's fountain 3v5 without ultimates and summoners at lvl 6, EVERYBODY follows that call in a blink of an eye. Nobody hesitates on that team.
    I think that if during scrims whoever makes the calls says "guys, let's go to the G2 headquarter, let's kill Ocelote, let's kill the entire staff, let's shit on their desks and let's burn the building down", I'm pretty sure we'd see blood flowing and smoke/crap raising in no time.
    The problem with G2 is that everybody's on the same WRONG page: a page where you can read, written in large prints, "MADNESS".

    Now, back on today's game. Let's focus on THAT episode: 6:40. There were caps, jankos, perkz and mikyx in the midlane and they caught CoreJJ in the bush. CoreJJ is Sett, so he's tanky af and he runs away with half hp. CAPS, THAT PROLLY FORGOT HE'S NOT PLAYING AS IRELIA IN S8, DECIDES TO CHASE HIM, AND FLASHES OVER THE WALL … AND OF COURSE, EVERYBODY COMMITS TO THIS SHIT; PERKZ ALSO DECIDES TO FLASH AS WELL.
    Now, let's make something clear: if someone thinks that a lvl 6 Jayce with a pickaxe can burst down a lvl 4 Sett with half hp, an SS and a Cloth Armor, before he shields himself, he needs to uninstall this game ASAP.
    So … Guess what happens. They've the number advantage, but they're fighting in a choke point, and they're fighting against graves, a sett that has full "Grit bar", and A FUCKIN LVL 6 ORIANNA WITH ULTI. So, they get rekt HARD, Sett survives, Jankos escapes thanks to the help of the gods and thanks to a flash (Nida already behind in the early and without flash … GREAT), Caps dies (wasting flash), they definitively lose mid priority (with a drake up), Perkz wastes his flash, wastes time, wastes farm, and meanwhile Tactical is in bottom lane chilling, taking free exp and free golds from minions and plates.
    You already had to face a tough situation and now you made it WORSE. You were already struggling, cuz you had a bad start with a comp that needed SO DESPERATELY to make the most out of the early game (Nida-Rene-Jayce), you were already facing obstacles (lvl1 fight) and now you have to climb a damn mountain basically. And all of that for … What?!? Because you couldn't say "oh, Sett ran away … Whatever. it's unfortunate but it's not the end of the world. it's still minute 6 … For sure, we can't waste our summoners and let them rape us in this choke, right?". JESUS … This is not an "hyper aggressive style", this is a bronze 5 griefer style.

    Of course, there would also be other things to say about that minute 6 play, but I can't write a book about it, so I cut it here.

    My point is that they do this kind of dumb stuff EVERYTIME. And sometimes they do it OVER AND OVER AGAIN. And to me this seems the main issue to deal with. I don't know if there is a shotcaller in the team, I don't know who he is, I don't know how they interact with each other, I don't know shit … But I know that they like to make dumb plays and they like to commit to crazy calls and unwinnable fights without a valid reason.
    Don't get me wrong. I understand the other issues Yamato's talking about; I understand the bad draft, the bad strategy and the other things … I just don't think that's the core of the problem.

    Anyway, these are my 2 cents on the matter. I hope I made my point clear and I hope my bad english doesn't upset anyone πŸ˜€

  12. I wonder about something yamato. In the pre game discussion all of you said "if Jensen steps up TL can win…" "Imagine TL would win" "It would be so amazing for NA fans" bla bla and then G2 is kinda inting in the draft and in the game, Jensen gets fed and TL wins… Like can you look into my face with your beautiful dog eyes and honestly tell me that riot didn't pay G2 to int this game to keep NA viewers watching?

  13. For the shen pick into jax discussion, Shen is a counter into jax. Shen fights with empowered q and denies jax damage with w and if jax ever tries to counterstrike shen can taunt through and behind jax to deny as folllow-up damage. Shen has one of the best early games and Jax has one of the "weaker" early games.

    I think u gave yourself answer to why Nemesis played how he played.
    From Selfmade perspective, and with the game that went just like this (stomp through bot) I wouldve wanted from sololaners to chill and be there when needed. Or when enemy team collapse bot. (which they did and none was there, but that was just good timing from geng imo)

  26. To the topic of Nemesis often not contesting: I actually don't really get why people always hate that hard on Nemesis. Sure in the LEC summer split he had a rough time, but even when he performed pretty good in Playoffs nobody really talked about it. Also if he is that bad as everyone puts him he probably shouldn't contest every wave against BDD (who is unarguably better). I missed the first part of the game so I can only speculate that he had not enough information about Nidalee. Idk what you guys do with my opinion, but at least I got it out somewhere.

    There's also another podcast platform called FYEO, Idk if anyone uses it but I know it exists.

  31. @YamatoCannon Really good reviews you got! πŸ˜€ But i thought about the spotify users sometimes and they can't follow you when you say "A draft is better than this draft". What is this in the context if you don't see the screen? My example is from the fnatic – GenG game where you were pointing to the LGD – fnatic game and i was confused, so i did go from spottify to youtube. Just a small thing, all with all great work. Keep on, be strong and watch youself <3

  33. G2 can also lose against TL and beat Suning, then still get first place, because of the tiebreaker rule. Both G2 and Suning would be 4-2. Also, I don't think DWG and TES are unbeatable. We are talking about G2 here. Look how much international experience G2 has. They didn't lose a best of 5 that would mean they are out of the tournament EVER, except finals last year. This team was knocked out of international competition exactly once in two years time. No other top team has shown that they can play from behind, because games were so stompy.Β 

    But G2 showed they can, and this is a quality that really matters when comes bo5. Does DWG just collapse when they lose the first game against G2 (remember how they stomped in scrims last year?). I don't know why people put teams like GenG higher than G2. I think G2 are clearly at least top 4 at the tournament, and have decent chances even against TES and DWG.
