  1. I would never be a Reggie. I would sell if I needed to. Now would be a good time as any to cash in. Have you seen the prices on PS3 games lately? I have to Ratchet and Clank games that are suddenly $80. And it’s not like those are rare games.

  2. I agree with the absolutely would have to. I would try for a 2nd job or anything else first. But if I had to and laugh if you all want lol I would have to give up my power rangers collection which is mainly all from the 90s in the boxes even tho it hurts to say that. The video games I at least can play and enjoy with the kids. Plus they are getting harder to find but same goes for the collectibles I mentioned so idk lol I hope that no one has to go threw that or if they do they are able to get it all back when they get on there feet.

  3. I’ve had to sell games from my game collection in the past in order to pay unexpected Veterinary bills that came up. I do have a hard time letting go of games that I care about or have collected because I don’t want to have to try to find them again. I feel like it would be near impossible, especially finding them in the same condition that most of my games are in.

  4. Good video dude. Yeah I think there are some things that we own that we are more attached to than others. I have a few things that I would absolutely not sell unless I had no alternative. The PS5 and Neo Geo were kind of just sitting there and not being used so I just made the decision to cut those loose. I don't own a lot of things really. It may seem like I have a bunch of crap but it's not that much and its way less than it used to be. It's all just stuff and it comes and goes. In the end, we cant take it with us. Like I said though, this will be different for everyone. Very interesting topic for sure.

  5. Interesting subject here. I'm actually surprised by your stance, I figured you'd be totally in the field of the video games having to be the first things to go! I know what you mean with things being hard to replace though, I feel you there 100 percent. It would be super painful to do but I would definitely forego the games before the bank came knocking on my door personally. Thankfully I don't forsee any situation where that would occur however.

  6. I am piecing out my collection now. Investing the money into an additional account towards retirement. As I approach 40 I’m realizing I need to declutter. Only holding onto the few games I love and consistently replay.

  7. I could definitely sell off parts of or my whole collection if I needed to, maybe my family needs it or maybe my boston terrier needs an operation?
I would probably sell the shooters and Ps1 RPGs last! I don't own anything crazy expensive so I could always gets something back that I sell BUT the thing is I do own some games that I will never come across again! Theirs games I have that came straight from the developer so getting those back would be impossible but my woman, kid and dag mean more to me than my video games, in short I would sell if they needed it. Great video man 🤘

  8. I cashed in on my NES and SNES collection many years back. I've sold games before (including VERY RARE mint-in-package Tiger games and Turbografx games). Some times to pay 400 dollar air conditioner bills/utility bills. Some times medical or dental related. For example, I wouldn't be able to afford a PS5 with games last year unless I sold my First Print Mandalorian action figures and some old games I weren't playing. I've done it before… I'd do it again. Priorities come first. Keep what you "truly" love. Besides, that is what emulation is for.

  9. For the normal gamer, sure, real life comes first right? These days all games are attainable in some way and it may rekindle the hunt for physical collectors down the line. Yet, the big Youtubers are privileged enough from public donations that they don't have to think about this. How many Youtubers have made a plea video about real life stuff in order to get some sympathy donations? Think about this, they already make enough off Youtube, Beg Streaming, Memberships and Patreon, but make a plea video for ADDITIONAL funds, how much more money do they need? It's pathetic. Now everyone has a "secondary" channel because they are running out of ideas every week. These are not poor people, never were. I have to keep repeating this. I recall Immoral had the classic video of JBH saying "mUh kIdZ" in one video and then in another saying No if someone offered a million dollars. What was more gross was the applause after as if what JBH said was so stunning and brave. The sheep really put these clowns on a pedestal. Sad lives indeed.

  10. I have got a PC Engine GT I need to sell actually…I havent done anything with it for years and the caps are going bad, You just reminded me to pull my finger out and cash out while I can. If I was dead broke and I couldn't work then absolutely, sell that stuff!

  11. I'd only sell my games if I was in a financial situation similar to what you described or if I totally lost interest in the hobby of playing video games. The thought of reacquiring everything I bought over the years in as good condition combined with the overinflated prices of today's market, would make most of my games unobtainable.

  12. I been their and done that all my Retro are gone! Dreamcast, Saturn, PS2, 360, SNES, NES and Gameboy all lumped together. All I got is my PS4, XB1X and have no desire to get back into retro. And the same all my games are like 40 and under lol
