  1. I used to do the same as you with shift modifier, but now I have all my combat abilities on a mouse (Corsair Scimitar Pro which costs ~$50 and it's worth every penny) and keyboard is for cooldowns/potions only. It was awesome to see your perspective. How do you target things? I use alt modifier for targeting self and ctrl for targeting focus. Like when you play say discipline in dungeon and need to self heal do you: A. mouse over macro heal yourself, B. alt+heal yourself, C. click target heal yourself, D. drop target to default heal yourself, E. something else???

  2. Love your vids! Id like to add 2 Marco ideas which helped me such a lot! How do you like those?

if its an enemy purge him, if its a friend, cleanse him at the same one button:
    #showtooltip
    /cast [nomod, noharm] Cleanse Spirit
    /cast [nomod, harm] Purge
/cast [@me, mod: alt] Cleanse Spirit (holding alt always cleanses myself)

    and something like this.

If you have no pet, cast a pet, if the pet is out, cast the pet-ability (same one button) and the tooltip changes, depending if you have a pet or nopet

    #showtooltip

    /cast [nopet] Earth Elemental

    /cast Harden Skin

    /petattack

    and

    #showtooltip

    /cast [nopet] Fire Elemental

    /cast Meteor

    /petattack

hope they help, especially after all those new abilities 🙂

  3. i recommend putting auto run on middle mouse button 🙂
and also it's really strange for me to hear that someone thinks ctrl is harder to press than shift because it feeels so natural to me to press ctrl with the outside of my palm. It's like my hand is just waitong to press it because it's already resting on it. but it feels more natural when the wohole setup sinks down one row.
good video mate thanks for your advice!

  4. OR, you could use a gamepad (anything works but I use a razor orbweaver chroma) and have the thumbstick be your movement, allowing you to move AND have access to 20 buttons without EVER having to stop moving. Seriously, once you get used to moving with a thumbstick and mouse look, it is IMPOSSIBLE to go back without feeling really gimped.

  5. so, cancel macro for dispersion. If you press dispersion while its active it will remove it. Same for pally bubble, hunter turtle, and other similar abilities. But I see it useful for things like levitate.

  6. These were nice tips. I have somewhat similar approach, however, I do not need that much keybinds on keyboard because I use MMO mouse which I have 18 buttons in total. I have themed the buttons so I have core combat abilities, CCs and movement effects always at the same place.

  7. As a hybrid clicker- keybinder, i will strongly disagree with the "rule" that everything must be keybound. I started out 15 years ago as a kid who hated keybinding at all. Clicked everything, got really good at it. Learned a few keybinds made it a bit easier over the years. Started with mouse keys 4 and 5, r, f, t, weaving in shift+ctrl with all those, shift and ctrl + space, and then 1, 2, 3. But that's about it. And my whole core rotation is 90% clicked in the top row of actionsbars. Having movement keys feels good for me, moving my mouse around really fast to click the 50% i don't keybind feels best to me. And you can certainly play at max efficiency like this regardless of what people say. It's all about personal preference and habit. And how you started out.
But, making videos like this is great, it shows people options they might've not thought about and pick and choose to find what works best for them.
So keep up the great work, your videos are quality every time!

  8. Turn Left/Turn Right + holding down the right mouse button causes you to shuffle. So you can essentially keep the turn buttons and remove the shuffle ones, and use whichever you need by holding the mouse button or not.

  9. How do you handle movement while casting? I currently use an mmo mouse, so move with left hand, abilities with right, but I want to look in to using keybinds instead to remove my reliance on the mmo mouse. Most of my characters are melee so often are moving while using their abilities, is it an actual problem to stop moving for the short time it takes to use an ability?

  10. I hope you’ll consider keeping up the videos with tips! You communicate well unlike a lot of wow content creators. Tips for specific roles, classes, specs, dungeons, and raid bosses would be hugely beneficial I think!

  11. Really love this video. I have small hands and trying your setup doing some adjustments opened more keybinds to me, never used ctrl before because it was really hard to comfortably press it, and now I can.

  12. Please change the title to YOUR keybinding "suggestion". Don't try to to guide people away from the general keybindings (WASD or ESDF) with your UNIQUE KB. This is going to confuse a lot of folks who are new and make them even worse at playing. I like your vids, but, this is a definite THUMBS DOWN.
