What about people like me who needed two Series X consoles, but ordered three on release day as a backup plan. I thought if I ordered three then at least two will arrive. I have done this in the past and has it worked out very well on two occasions where I was left short by one retailer.
So this time all three consoles arrived, all from different retailers and I then had one surplus Series X. I asked around my friends and they were already sorted, so I ended up selling it on EBay. I don’t see anything wrong with this, I don’t feel bad, I don’t feel guilty.
I think it would have been totally different if I used a sniping tool to bag multiple consoles with the sole aim of fleecing people, which was definitely Not my intention. I was offered two PS5s from my local retailer when I was Pre-ordering my Series X,but I didn’t take them up on their offer as I already had a PS5 pre-order confirmed elsewhere.
My wife asked me yesterday would I consider selling the second Series X console we have stored in the attic, the one for my kids at Christmas, she sees how much they are going for. Well that can’t happen as I sold their Xbox One S last month and I currently have our Xbox One X Scorpio up for sale, so they would be left with no Xbox console to play.
Now all we need are some decent next-gen games for both consoles.
they need to identify the scalpers and cancel their every order… stores have to know a sale in store is better than an online sale at this time… make scalping illegal I say
