  1. Really Photo mode is something to talk about im so confuse. Photo mode. Is this what is going on comparing console performance. The 6800XT is barely running 1080p60 with Ray Tracing so I just don't see how the X can do it.

  2. What is wrong with you 3.53 as the words both consoles are running the same settings xbox is missing it's reflections center screen maybe it will arrive with the tools. So in the first screen shot 1fps difference next shot xbox missing its reflection bigger fps gap the whole df video had difference in screenshot reflections xbots think they got a win I think you got a photo mode bug.

  3. I am a xbox fanboy 100% man! But i have seen something wrong on this video…on 4:22 the rtx on ps5 show something that seriesX didn't …….why??? Look at the middle of the scene …on the floor is missing some parts of the reflection on seriesX why this happens?

  4. Ummmmm no hate on Xbox but are we really talking about photo mode ????? How is that a benchmark when nothing is moving but a camera , I think this is a bit of stretch digital foundry never done before. These consoles are not being fully utilized on these old games but really we talking about photo mode??? That’s stupid

  5. This is part of why exclusives matter so much. Imagine how a current gen only gears 6 would be optimized or how much a ps5 only killzone or infamous would get out of the system. Most 3rd party devs wont go all in because they have to develop for 4 to 7 different platforms/types. Rockstar is one of the exceptions because they really take the time for each console.

  6. Its not the IO madz digital foundry said that it was do to this been a straight port from pc to xbox series x because the pc version does the same thing

  7. Stuttering must be part of the not optimised system tools. Sampler Feed Back is a huge part of it. Along with Variable Rate Shading.
The system is just brute forcing this through. Control was pretty taxing in high end rigs when released.

  8. Some folks suspect the issue is gpu memory. These ports may be going over the 10 GB max of super fast memory and then loading into the slower Cpu memory. This would be be an issue with SFS being used for a 2.5 multiplier. But since it isn't being used the 230 GB/s difference in speed would explain the dip.

Ps5 doesn't have that issue as all ram is the same speed. It's a plausible explanation but also something that should be fixed via better optimization

  9. The Series X 💪💪 will always destroy the PlayStation 5 with games running Ray tracing Ray tracing is very demanding the PS5 is just the weaker box and you can take that to the bank Sony ponies 🐴

  10. I honestly couldn't believe it when I saw they were comparing photo mode fps. I literally starting choking on my cereal. 🤣🤣😅 Once I stopped coughing and watched the video I thought it was a bizarre thing to focus on, but it seems ANYTHING digitalfoundry can find to give Xbox a win – they WILL find it!!

I'm still waiting for their video investigating why multiplats keep stuttering on Series X so often but not on PS5. They always just brush that issue under the carpet in every comparison and move on to the next one. But here they dedicate a whole video just to analyse Control UE's photo mode!! Completely ridiculous!!!! 🤦🤦🤦

  11. Of course the SX has a more powerful GPU, this result is not surprising. However when AI, physics and streaming is disabled and the i/o architecture is left irrelevant it does paint a skewed picture since the GPU is just one part of the console. As an owner of both consoles I wouldn't put too much stock into this. The Unreal Engine 5 demo on PS5 looks far more impressive than Control with RT if I'm being frank. I wouldn't really use Control as the benchmark and ceiling for what the PS5 is capable of.

  12. Using photomode as "benchmark" is more a synthetic benchmark than a gameplay benchmark (case and point the gameplay performance is different), CPU isn't used at all other than GPU draw calls, assets are basically static (not changing like in gameplay). Photomode is basically just a GPU rendering benchmark. Not to mention game settings with locked frame rates are configured for the lowest performance value, this photomode "benchmark" shows that Remedy could not increase the settings over what they're on XBSX because in demanding scenes (where XBSX is 33fps, and PS5 is 32fps) would majority drop performance…

  13. The good thing is that xbox is 16% faster. The bad one is that in game practically is at fixed 30 at the same graphic setup, so no difference. Actually, the experiencia World be better on ps5 because of the haptic controller.

  14. It is obvious which hardware is more capable, just look at the specs. Optimizations are dynamic but at some point you start hitting hardware limits and that is when the Xbox will surpass the PS5. At the end of the day you still need both because they each have their exclusives but if the same game comes out on both then the Xbox is the better choice. That is why I went Xbox SX as my primary console and PS5 digital as my secondary.

  15. This is basically where we're at right now…
Ps5 performs better in a game…the xbox fanboys say it's the tools

Xbox series x performs better in a game..the PS fanboys attack DF..

  16. Those weird stutters are present on the PC version as well, I've played the game on both an RX 5700XT and on an RTX 2060, both do it. I'm playing on Series X atm… the stutters are few and far between in my experience, about the same as I ran into on PC. All said, that's graphics memory sizes of 6GB, 8GB, and 10GB and all systems running the game off of a NVMe. With that in mind, I don't think they are memory or IO related, more likely something to do with Remedy's code and DX12. They have a bug and they just need to fix it IMHO.

  17. Doesn’t this game run like crap st st stuttering all over the place on x box during actual gameplay while it runs silky smooth on PlayStation and you losers are bragging about photo mode having a few more frames.
