  1. I've said it before, I think one of the biggest improvement feature for this generation is the dynamic culling with Mesh Shaders and the Geometry Engine. Of course it'll probably take time to fully implement them, but with them being able to have micro detail geometry and vast improvement to the amount of objects will showcase the difference between previous generations…

  2. i wonder if mesh shading causes another set of necessary operations, like assessing the compounds of a 2d (mesh) image and judging what to render what way (in reference to analysis of the 3d source) for every frame anew – instead of "just" letting the 3d engine play out.

  3. Mesh shading is not on ps5 at all its one of the features ps5 is missing dont no why u would say they have there own type of it when they dont its one of full rdna 2 features sony dont have because ps5 was built a year before xbox series consoles just like ps5 dont have vrs there chip is missing it if you are trying to justify the price of ps5 you cant it was a rip off compared to xbox series x because xbox series x will be outperforming it like crazy once developers take full advantage of xboxs chip thats why sony is working on ps5 pro because they new they where out classed from the start

  6. I'm getting ready to finally take the plunge for a new TV since I just received my series x and I think I'm going to go with the Samsung Q90T 55inch. I'd get the LG CX but I've had nothing but bad experiences with LG whether it be screen burn or having the whole top left side of the screen just turn Grey then black on a TV under a year old. The Samsung I have now is nice so I'm hoping I'm not making a mistake. I've done all the research I can think of.

  7. The PS5 doesn't have 'meshlets' or mesh shading. It utilizing culling from prims instead; The primitive engine is based off the Vega 7 engine. Meshlets are efficient and effective for this purpose, wherein prims are a classical approach to culling, which is why culling was never used until meshlets. It's not beneficial, it hurts performance. We already saw this happen (for prims), Dirt 5. Yes, even the Series X used culling via prims in Dirt 5.
