  1. Math don't lie and the features on the GPU and CPU are real and confirmed by AMD. Dev tools not being ready is a failure by MS but its a issue that soon won't be and we will all see the difference like we do now.

  2. I wonder what method they'll use? Perhaps drop the native resolution to 1440p, use ML to boost it back up to 4K quality (and enhance NPC behaviours), use VRS and then really go to town with RT lighting, shadows and reflections. It already looks great, so it will be very exciting to see what they come up with.

  3. I would be interested to find out why there's no mention of the PS5. If the Series S can manage it, so can the PS5. I'm also interested to find out how they achieve ray traying. Will they drop the resolution down to 1440p on the Series X and use a dynamic resolution to boost it up to 4K in places, or just drop the resolution and keep it locked at 1440p or whatever. That makes me more curious about the Series S. The Series S is already running the game at 1080p, but still what a beast of a little console to support ray tracing.

The next few multiplatform AAA games we get this year will tell us which console plays multiplats best. I always expected the Series X to perform and run games better, but not by 1800p vs 21, and definitely not Series X having ray tracing on a game and the PS5 not supporting it on that same game.

  4. I'm not a console war fan-boy, so please don't start a fight. I don't understand why this has only been confirmed for Xbox Series X and not for PS5 as well. You can't come to me and say PS5 don't have the power for it when the only difference is CPU: 0.3 more GHz and GPU: 1.7 teraflops more on the Series X. I guess it's a hidden "exclusive" feature for the microsoft console. IO interactives, is danish dev company. The Playstation is the most popular console in Denmark as well, tbh i am a bit confused.

  5. I'm sorry but Ray tracing is so overrated. Lighting and reflections are already superior to any other game that has ray tracing without using ray tracing ..I don't need anything other than this that brings down the performance.

  6. I personally, have always thought, Xbox series X can do ray tracing, better than PS5.And ray tracing will be, the deciding factor, of which console out of these two, is actually more powerful.

  7. The game looks worse than hitman 2 in my opinion. I have a qled with hdr and black levels are washed out. Thought it was something inwas dont until i put in 2 in my series x. Lets face it all the mostly look the same as the one. Cold war with ray tracing you could tell the difference. Other than that. Watch dogs and all the others are not next gen. Thats the price difference

  8. Probably the lack of mentioning PS5 just proves that IO Interactive took the DirectX 12"XBSX version and ported it to PS5", just like every single game that either performs essentially the same or favors PS5 is a "PS5 version ported to XBSX" (not sure why Gearbox removed the higher quality shadows and reduced the foliage from the PS5 version of Borderlands 3 and made them exact same settings as XB1 versions, but they did because the "PS5 version got ported to XBSX" because Borderlands 3 favors PS5)…
Of course this is going off the assumption that "Xbox platform version got a ported from PS platform version, because Xbox performance isn't better the PS version" is an actual principle logic. And not just something completely made up because the Xbox fanboy community spent the 9 months before XBSX/PS5 launch claiming there would be a major massive difference between PS5 and XBSX in favor of XBSX, even claiming PS5 would be trailing XBSS. And claiming that PS5 would get delayed because Sony wasn't prepared because Microsoft caught them off guard… (but excepting any kind of principles is probably having way too high of expectations)

  9. Velocity Architecture will be the nail in ps5's coffin ⚰️. DirectX Storage api, DirectX 'hardware' Ray Tracing, Sampler Feedback Streaming, Variable Rate Shading and….wait for it, wait for it…. DIRECTX MACHINE LEARNING!

Thanks for playing Sony, game over.

Xbox is the best box! 💚

  10. put it this way, if a third party dev can get hitman 3 running at 4k60 on the series x (with minimal frame drops in one area only), imagine what first party devs can accomplish.

  11. Hitman 3 on the XSX destroyed the PS5 by 44%. XSX is pushing out 2534400 more pixels than the PS5.

    3840 × 2160 =8294400 at 60 FPS

    3200 X 1800 =5760000 at 60 FPS

XSX is pushing out 2534400 more pixels than the PS5, which is 44% more pixels. Open up a salt mine for the Sony fans.
