Madz you are the most consistent and prolific xbox game and tech news you deserve Dealer clout!
I can't go back to 60 after playing 120. I ruined myself. It's a damn nightmare.
4k 60 better than 1080p 120
Great Video as always madz.
Whatever resolution Coldwar runs at in the 120hz mode all 120fps games should be at that resolution. It looks so close to 4k you can't tell it's not by the time your 4k TV upscales it the rest of the way. It definitely ruined me ever caring about 4k 60 games. You can't unsee it once you've played at 120fps 4k
VRR makes a difference, indeed. Well, that's what it's supposed to do. Most people, and this was said over and over again in various comments sections, forums etc, don't have a TV or monitor that supports VRR/freesync. What I want to say is that things like screen-tearing or inconsistant framerates/stutter shouldn't be the standard in upcoming games forcing you to buy a TV with VRR to have a flawless experience. There are more than enough new games that run pretty smooth at high framerates without screen-tearing on "normal" TVs. When things like DirectML/super resolution etc come into play, games will run even smoother and better like before anyways . πͺ
Im tired of hearing about a console that cant even be obtained
VRR is amazing on my Acer x27 with Series X. Just haven't used it much as another day goes by that my Series X keeps on collecting dust
Great video madz ππ»
VRR is king when you are playing at 120fps.
Especially on those competitive games that precision is required.
I think most tv's these days that support 120fps also support vrr, so xbox users are all set. Maybe that's why the xsx version of the game runs 78% higher resolution than the ps5 version. Even though the ps5 version can't maintain 120fps at 1080p, i'm guessing the fps might be a bit more stable on it. I mean 78% higher resolution is a lot.
Star Wars Squadrons is a great game to test VRR, the difference is night and day. The only bad thing about VRR on OLED is the raised blacks. I switch off VRR for single player games due to the raised blacks, although VRR is a necessity for multiplayer games, the raised blacks don't bother you as much.
wait ps5 doesnt support VRR??
Ori is locked 120 fps on xbox
Locked 60 is what I want.
Going from 120 to 60 I will do. Going from 60 to 30 I will not. 30FPS needs to die. I won't touch a game at 30FPS. VRR is VITAL as so many games just don't hold a solid stable 60FPS – never mind 120…
Even on my RTX Strix 3090 VRR is important imagine how bad it is to run a game at 120 FPS on a PS5 without VRR
Havenβt upgraded my tv yet been waiting for the LG G1.
