  1. Madz, Control just got fixed a few days ago on Xbox. Those are just hard times for developers and there are even games with odd issues on PS. Shit just happens and those will be less frequent when we move past the pandemic and get actual next gen games.

  2. Xbox people expecting Series X to outperform PS5 in every game is the real problem here.

Series X will outperform PS5 in the more RT-dependent games, but not by much, itโ€™s just a slight difference, youโ€™ll even see other games performing better on PS5, simple.

  3. I know I'll catch hate but developers have ps4, pro, one x, one and one S down. That said when making games for next generation they do have to spend extra time making the game run on S and X as opposed to just ps5. So maybe control, dirt, valhalla, outriders etc are getting my development time for ps5 and the next generation xboxs are split between S and X. Its just a thought because if the X really is more powerful we aren't seeing it yet.

  4. What irritates me more than anything is first party games like Forza Horizon 4 missing features, and Halo Infinite just being trash. It makes no sense.

  5. To me it was very important to have at least 1 or 2 games from your 1st party studios to show what the box can do.
I would have took something like Kameo and gave it a whole new look. Kind like what blue point did to
Demon Souls. Put some photo realistic graphics on Kameo would have been nice. Everybody don't play Gears but everybody would have
    Played Kameo.

  6. Developers don't like adjusting to new API, we have seen this with direct x 12 adoption on pc games. In most the of games, the dx11 version runs better. Despite dx12 being more robust. Microsoft needs to take note of this and find ways for dx12 to be more user friendly for developers.

The xbox should have a big lead in games over playstation. The places where the series x dips in performance you can easily tell it's a bug.

  7. Most of the differences are insignificant. People are making mountains out of mole hills. The only game that has a clear performance advantage on the ps5 right now is a f***ing demo, and that's due to the fact that the series X runs the game at much higher resolution with flag physics in tact.

  8. When a house isn't built right, how much of the blame falls on the builder vs the tools vs the materials?

When the application you use doesn't work right, how much of the blame falls on the developer vs the tools vs the hardware?

When a game is built but doesn't run well, how much of the blame falls on the developer vs the tools vs the platform?

  9. i have both ps5 & xsx, and honestly donโ€™t see any wins for the ps5 because itโ€™s not 1:1 comparison because of the resolution differences. what i want from my xsx is higher resolution with locked 60fps. if it canโ€™t do that, than whatโ€™s the point of extra power? just lowering the dynamic resolution and running the same resolution as ps5 with locked 60 means nothing.

  10. This info in this video seems to be outdated. The PS5 was running games better than the Series X about 2 or 3 months ago. Since then Microsoft pushed an update and many of those same gams now run better on the Series X.

  11. If the games are on both platforms at the same resolution (which they rarely are), I think frame rates will be just fine on Series X. But, thatโ€™s still highly dependent on in-engine optimizations. Software development requires balancing time, money, features, bugs and efficiency. Itโ€™s absolutely challenging to become an expert across multiple platforms that have different APIs and hardware features.

  12. What I want to see is game developer bring the PS5 version of there the games to the same resolution of the Xbox series X ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช PS5 is always running at a lower resolution I think game developers scared if the PS5 started drops frames Sony you will remove their game from the PS store ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  13. Why is it ppl love to make this huge deal over a couple frame drops but nobody says a word about when xbox loads games in faster. Isn't that PS5 ssd supposed to be amazing. Just the usual double standard bs that everyone love to hold against xbox and MS

  14. Madz…this is choice …nothing more. It's not the dev kits, it's a choice. A developer chooses to make one format their lead format….it's not something they don't know..Dirt 5 dev knew full well what they left out. We have to stop creating this image that someone somehow just missed something on every single game!…it isn't. I've said it over and over on your comments …it's who they make the most money from. Playstation just outsells Microsoft in hardware and software sales..it just as simple as this. You can't expect anyone to give equal focus on something that is 2ndary vs primary. The developers goal for consoles will always be with the one that makes them the most money and that has been and continues to be with Sony.

  15. haha this guy is blaming optimization. i'd believe him if it happens only in a couple of games, but every single game that isnt back compat games, have STUTTER issues on xbox. remember when not so long ago, xbots were bragging about native 4k all games, play best 3rd party games before the consoles launched. what a sobering reality this been. you people act like those were never said. remember when series s is a 1440p 120 fps monster? HAHAHA. phil spencer LIED.

  16. You can damage control and gloss over… but it is what it is… a console is much more than just specs… tools, hardware, software, talent and so on…

  17. The GPU of the Series X is only around 15% to 20% more powerful than the GPU in the PS5 on paper (There's a lot more to consider than just tflops but we're keeping it simple) The difference in GPU processing power requirements between 1800p and 2160p (aka 4k) is over 30%. It's not a surprise that the Series X is seeing frame drops in a lot of games where the devs try to target native 4k, but the same game running at 1800p on the PS5 has virtually no frame drops. I bet if devs just dropped the resolution slightly to like 1960p to 2000p for Series X these games would perform just as well as the PS5 version.

I expect both the PS5 and Series X to continue to improve. Neither has been pushed to the max. The devs just need more time and to eventually get away from last gen consoles.
