  1. After the yakuza games turned out to be successful on Xbox. It for sure made atlus more open. Correct me if I'm wrong but Sony didn't pay for exclusivety I think atlus just didn't release it on other platforms. You can emulate persona 1 and 2 on Xbox not sure for 3, 4 and 5

  2. If you're an independent game company why not make your game multi plat? By keeping your games to one or 2 platforms you're cutting yourself short on profits… And every company is in business for profit… Maybe wrong… Idk.. 😕

  3. Ah, just what I was looking for, a good reason to play Persona 5 a third time. Really hope this comes to Gamepass, playing vanilla and Royal on PS4 was awesome and my friend says the new Dynasty Warriors like game is great, too.

  4. MS will never win over Japan. Brand loyalty and Culture bias obstacles are the game breakers. MS always got the goalpost moved on them since the launch of the 360. I’ll never forget the media slander and bait and switch tactics used against MS. Especially on sites like N4G which is Sonytard heavy (Almost like What Agent Smith has “Done to the Place”). Forgive my long rant but. Microsoft did everything during the 360 lifecycle to reel in Japanese gamers. Media reports stated Japanese people had small homes so they didn’t want large systems with large controllers, so MS made a smaller system but then it was handhelds they preferred where the Nintendo DS was king. Then it became Japanese people love “Mechs” so you need Mech games, MS made Mech games “Chromehounds” “Armored Assault” series “Hawken” “Front Assault” “Zone of Enders” “Dynasty Warriors:Gundam” NO EFFECT!!! then it became Japanese people love JRPGs and MS don’t have any.. MS hits back with 3 exclusive JRPGs “Blue Dragon”, “Lost Odyssey” and “Infinite Undiscovery” what happened afterwards!? Goalpost changed. Now Final fantasy becomes A new Genre “Action RPG” no more turn-based. Smh. At that point MS said fuck Japanese gamers and their fickle bullshit. American based companies started making open world games and selling multimillions creating billion dollar franchises. Years later now look… Japan crying that Americans don’t buy their games anymore😅😅 Exactly…. No disrespect to Japan but y’all can eat a dick…. That Hiroshima incident still hurts. Should’ve never violated Pearl Harbor. Keep y’all bullshit.

  5. Their only saving Grace is the persona series. They released Person 4: Arena on Xbox 360 already. The only reason they pulled the plug on Xbox One support was due to Sony wanting exclusive rights to the franchises.

  6. People think that Microsoft must sell more consoles than Sony to “win”. This couldn’t be more incorrect, Microsoft only needs to increase their market share to “win”. It’s like the AMD/Intel battle, AMD doesn’t need to sell more CPU’s they just need to keep eating away at intels lead.

  7. I think no matter what Microsoft do in Japan they won’t break into that market with substantial sales numbers. What Microsoft can do is bring more Japanese developer support to
Xbox owners in the west though. I would love Persona 5 to come to Xbox.

  8. Those publisher can keep it.
Those fuckers treat XBOX owners like 2nd class gamers.
XBOX Game Studios already purchase it´s own japanese developer with Tango Gameworks.
Why even ask the question instead of releasing it.
I didn´t saw Bandai Namco or From Software asking XBOX gamers they have just released games like Code Vein, Soul Calibur or Tekken.
And on march 23rd it won´t matter when Bethesda shows what games will release only on XBOX Series X.
We all already know about Indiana Jones.
So what surprises might be waiting ??? A new Doom ??? The Evil Within 3 or a complete new IP ???
    We will see.

  9. Frankly, for as long as Atlus has pulled this "holding out" BS. And SEGA letting them get away with it. Despite all that so-call chatter over how much they "enjoy their relations with XBox". And how much they "love gamepass". They can keep those games. But, I dont speak for others. And even "I" understand the significance of having a Persona or Shin Megami on the platform. So my personal feelings have nothing to do with it. I just feel that this long game of playing favorites was never going to last long. And if they thought it was "doing their part" to slowly choke out the slumbering giant with their buddies of SONY Japan. They just learnt a very painful lesson now that said giant has finally woke up.

Either get on the train. Or dont. Surveys are pointless at this time. And the hold out strategy is not driving numbers investors want to see. If that wasnt the case. This talk about a survey wouldnt even be a topic, right? Right. So who the f*ck are they really trying to fool? Just put the games on Gamepass. MS makes it painless and PAYS YOU. They get more engagements. A nice chunk of cheddar. And a cash from the micros. How would they lose in this deal?! Seriously, devs like them just give other Japanese devs a bad name…and worse ideas.

Personally, I'd rather Phil and Matt just get that $7.5bill recouped from the Bethesda deal. And bring back their old tried n true studios that always had their back since the OG and 360 days. Such as Itagaki from the old Team Ninja. Yokio of Grounding Inc/White Owl. And Sakaguchi with his MistWalker crew. I'd rather see all this effort expended on the ones that DO want to come back. And some used to sweet talk the smaller more lesser known devs like NihoFalcom into joining XBGS. Or dropping their titles on Gamepass. As right now XBox seems to trying to strike a nice balance. And a much more diverse offering. But theres little to nothing that speaks to the Japanese gamer. And would keep them engaged. I really want to see team XB resolve this quickly.

  10. All depends on if Xbox consumers want the game. I'm not sure how well older Persona games have done on Xbox, but I imagine the fanbase is bigger on PlayStation and PC. Still though, would you say no to extra profit?. So it would make sense for it to come to Xbox. Especially Game Pass.

  11. Ha, that’s not happening any time soon! Microsoft should just not bother with Japan anymore because they can be picky pricks and knit pick any inconsistencies the console may have. It also doesn’t help that Xbox also censors Japanese games or outright bans them from ever existing in the marketplace (Gal*Gun Returns). Although, Xbox does have a niche community of Japanese oriented groups that upload skimpy or lewd anime waifus on community posts (I still don’t know how they do it lol!) so there’s that! I say, if there’s money to be made and the demand is there then bring more Japanese games that cater to weebs because let’s be honest, that’s like 90% of all gamers in Japan! In conclusion, stop the censorship BS to appease a small group of people that won’t be buying the games anyway and leave the ESRB to do their thing like how Nintendo handles censorship with 3rd parties. If you do that and bring talented Japanese developers I guarantee it will succeed and the Xbox brand will prosper in Japan!
