How will this help MS? And why is Discord worth 10Billion? Is 10billion justifiable? Bare in mind 7.5 billion for Zenimax shook up the industry idk if this have the same impact?

Huge risk but smart strategic move to agitate Google & Amazon who aren't progressive in the game ethos.
This might bring pc and console gaming closer, discord already is supported with the Xbox status
Reading between the lines, this seems more like a defensive play from Microsoft so that it stops Amazon from picking up discord.
Microsoft already has Skype and they can use it for anything discord can.
This should be taken with a massive pinch of salt as its just a rumour blown massively out of proportion. Microsoft will not be buying discord. It would jusy be a silly purchase decision and certainly one which they don't need to make.
