  1. I love both physical and digital,i wanna have both option personally and i think physical is slightly better because you don't necessarily need an internet to use it,you can sell, trade, give it away or even collect them

  2. Lol. So they do it quietly? Lol. Sony is stupid. They must be annoyed still of the wii, lol. There getting cocky, lol. Even steam removes games.

I still wonder about my ps3 physcial disc since they need updates.

  3. Well, I certainly want to always have the choice of buying physical and pre-owned games, but this just seems like the penny dropping for some on what a game-changer Gamepass is. The value is outstanding and I have more games at my fingertips than I know what to do with, not to mention a bunch of perks like discounts on digital games.

  4. I love physical copies of games that i like to keep for my collection. Xbox Gamepass is great and I do buy digital games when they make sense. Really it just a preference to go physical or digital both have their benefits.

  5. Physical games are definitely not dead. I'm a parent of multiple kids that all have Xbox's in their rooms. There's currently no way to buy one copy of a digital game and be able to share it with more than 2 Xboxs. That's why I buy all my games physically. If MS ever added a family plan for Gamepass, I'd be in. Until then, there's not really a digital option for us.

  6. The dumbest part of it is Gamepass is already up front about the fact you don't own the game, you're just renting it. It's like boycotting blockbuster (if it was still relevant). This would make more sense if they were just boycotting digital sales.

  7. to me getting games physically is almost useless nowadays unless you wanna save a few bucks. you end up having to install a digital update anyways basically making the disc your license to the game and that's it

  8. Forever Physical has been LRG’s slogan for the last 5 years. It’s kinda funny though to see pony’s use this to bash Game Pass though. When LRG did their pop up shop in the mall in Cary NC, their owner Josh (who is also a indie dev) was in there telling people about how amazing Game Pass was for developers, and that was almost 2 years ago now. I think at the time I had Game Pass but was on the fence about resubscribing, and now I’m all in on Game Pass.

I do enjoy LRG’s Switch stuff, and tend to buy my Switch stuff physically, but on Xbox I’m all digital at this point. LRG’s games tend to be older ports or games that have been on the online stores only for months at that point, so when a physical release is made usually there are no patches for the games. Lately though, they’ve went to more day 1 stuff like Streets of Rage 4 and Scott Pilgrim, so not sure if that holds true for them as well.

  9. Im an xbox player n love physical media. I have to keep my xbox 360 n xbox original due to having physical media not play on xbox one or 360, also have a bunch of games digital that i can no longer purchase on xbox one or xbox series consoles. So how is digital better? They can take something i have bought and made it so games just disapear and if i dont get them at that time tgey can be deleted. Tmnt turtles arcade game, xevious, double dragon the arcade game are just 3 on top of my head i own that i cant use. I have gamepass but if it will lead to non physixal copies ill drop it like a bad date.

  10. I switched over to digital only in 2016 & haven’t had any regrets. I literally own hundreds of games…that wouldn’t look to good in my living room when all those cases everywhere. Not to mention being able to switch between all of my games without having to get up…Priceless!!!

  11. Do they not know that fullgames aren't on the discs anymore. Even if you go physical only those games still need to connect to servers to download patches along with the rest of the game. Take those servers away and they may not load up at all

  12. I think forever physical is a great philosophy. I have an Xbox series X with Gamepass Ultimate. I love some of the games that are on Gamepass, but when I bought my Series X in November I still bought 24 physical games some of which were already on Gamepass, because I like to have a physical copy of games that I like a lot because just because they're on Gamepass now doesn't mean they always will be. Plus I'm 43 years old and have been gaming since I was 8 and I just like to have a physical copy of games that I like so I can actually know that I own them and I am not just renting them.
