seems like a little early april fools joke, but imo this could still happen. halo infinite HAS to be phenomenal as they've had 3 lackluster halo games in a row. people were not happy with armor lock & bungie's halo reach multiplayer, people were not happy with the multiplayer in 343's halo 4 & people were not happy with the campaign in 343's halo 5. infinite is LITERALLY their last shot. infinite was supposed to drop on the Series X launch but was pushed back a year. a year would be plenty of time under normal circumstances but with dev teams still adjusting to new workflow conditions under COVID, a year delay still may not be enough for infinite to be ready by this fall. consider that infinite's development hay have already been rebooted at some point a la halo 3 & i could see how infinite could slip into 2022 as phil spencer clearly cares about the long term viability of the halo brand more than rushing out a first party title. they don't want another Cyberpunk situation on their hands & if they delayed into 2022 i wouldn't blame them tbh

You're not being hard on them. Part of the job is to check the source before it's published… The bar isn't set incredibly high for them, just double check, or simply contact 343 to confirm. So difficult! Really, all they had to do was literally scroll down 1 extra inch and see the advertisement for a vibrator right under it. They didn't even take the time to scroll the feed. That's how lazy they were.
