Everything you need to know about Yakuza’s big series refresh on console. Years since Yakuza 6, Like a Dragon makes a successful leap to JRPG battle mechanics, a new Yokohama inspired setting – and a fresh cast of memorable faces. 1. I thought It was just my imagination, but now playing Yakuza 6 on PC and being able to compare it to 7 made me realize that a bit of a downgrade took place. Yakuza 7 is still beautiful, but it seems like Yakuza 6 was the "dragon engine unconstrained" before RGG studios realized that it was way too taxing on consoles.

  2. I played this game primarily on Series X using the 4K 30fps mode. The 1440p 60fps mode I used initially, but the gameplay didn't benefit from the higher frame-rate, so I opted for the much improved image quality. Normally I'm all for 60fps, but I guess this was a rare exception.

Also this game is phenomenal. I never played a Yakuza game before, but this one was such a treat to play, and everyone should give it a try. Honestly one of the best games that came out last year.

  3. For fuck sake, it's so frustrating to see you guys ignoring great new releases while tackling old things multiple times. Seriously, two avengers videos, but nothing on Hyrule Warriors, persona 5 strikers, bravely default and it takes two now. Really, this channel is diving preety deep in quality.

  4. Anyone else remember the comments section being full of mostly intelligent conversations before PS5 and Series X/S came out? It's genuinely kind of sad now to go through the comments, too many corporate fanboys.

  5. It would be interesting so see a comparison between the games using the Dragon Engine.
Newer games like Judgment and LAD seem to have lower resolution textures, while simultaneously having better post-processing effects and larger maps.

  6. 3:52 I know the Series S is meant to be a budget option, and I know it's the performance mode which prioritizes 60FPS over resolution, but seriously 900p on a "next gen" console…? And this is a game that was also on last gen, how is the Series S going to hold up when we get further into the generation when games start taking advantage of the Series X and PS5's graphical power?

  7. BS Tom, there’s no way the Series S pulls it off. Sub 900p @ 60 frames with drops or 1440p @ 30 frames with drops. Neither are suitable as next gen. Talk about glossing over the cracks. It’s Series X or PS5

  8. Calling these systems next gen is deceiving. How can we still not get a stable 60fps that has a res slightly higher than 1080p. We should be getting native 4k with a stable 60fps now. The ps4 pro was able to do 60fps at 1440p with some games so these "next gen" consoles are really just a half step like the ps4 pro was. As someone who was able to get a ps5, i can tell you that the time and effort spent to get one isnt worth it. Just wait until this next holiday when and if they get a discount or a discounted bundle.
