The Xbox Series X and PS5 have been battling out the fight of performance and visuals as early on as a year before launch as Developers have readied ports of big multiplatform games on next generation hardware. On paper, spec sheets give the upper hand to the Xbox Series X, but in game analysis these past couple of months, the edge has gone to PS5 or by a margin of several frames per second. But there is one glaring bit of data and consistent fact that shows that Xbox Series X has had the performance advantage all along…

  1. CORRECTION: The Cyberpunk Resolution and framerate is not correct. It runs closer to 1080p60 across multiple patches. But the overall quality of the Xbox version is better in every way to the PS5.

  2. All you need to know is PS5's 36cus vs Xbox SX 52cus. When the software is brought up to par you know which one will age better. Well in the end it won't matter, in 3years I'm sure both will make even more powerful revision hardware lol. Just enjoy both now.

  3. Notice how when people did NOT want the PS4 to show parity with the Xbox One, and even started all that #PS4NoParity bullshit? But now they are more than fine having the Series X downgraded to force parity with the PS5?

    Double standard much?

  5. For Gods sake Colt, please tell Xbox if they want that massive hole now opening in Japan between Sony and censorship, they must stop censoring or dropping titles, they have a big opportunity to pick up a massive foot hold if they play it smart, or leave the back doors open with multi language options so we can import them, don't censor Japan

  6. Dude they are basically the same Hardware. The Difference is Game Pass for Series X and Exclusives and Dual Sense Controller for PS5. Performance for both are with in a couple of Frames of each other..

  7. So I'm a PC gamer and I have been thinking about getting one of these "Next Gen" consoles for my living room and you just convinced me not to waist my money. They seem far from next Gen at 1080p 60fps for new AAA titles and possible but not probable to run older games at 4K 60fps. Not really a good track record so far for new games and I doubt it will get much better without running some sort of adaptive resolution and upscaling trickery. I think I'll save myself the $500 plus and just buy a Nvidia Shield for $150 and stream my games from my PC to my living room. Thanks for showing me that new "Next Gen" console are nothing, but hot garbage. I almost waisted my money.

  8. Heard the ps5 has the upper hand in 4K Blu-ray’s now too. Let me guess… this is due to incomplete sdk’s??? You and your band spend more time defending your purchases than you play them.

  9. PS5 has the edge on Emulating old ass games up to 60fps.. I need to see whats done with NEXT-GEN Games. I don't want to see games forced to be optimized. Sony Kickstarted the Ray-Tracing Movement because of the Spider-Man debacle at E3 involving silly ass puddles and the lies they told. So now Ray-Tracing is the buzzword this year Sony wants to run with instead of "Reflections" lol. Like seriously? I don't want cross gen…. I want Next-Gen.

  10. Couldn't imagine buying a series x this gen when I upgraded my gaming pc with evga rtx 3080 xc3 ultra and ryzen 5600x, that beast has no hold back and the ps5 for the amazing exclusives of course

  11. Well I have both and from what I can tell the Xbox vs the Ps5 my Xbox when playing cyberpunk it’s a huge toaster heater and gets load at times now I got both systems due too there is games on both that I like to play but playing cyberpunk I think Ps5 has the Xbox beat because running thru town with the Xbox keeps crashing so even is I get a few more frames per second the game crashing every 15 minutes sucks
