Well that was a real spider infested s**t show. I'm not sure if it's bad luck, or you're under leveled. I'd lean on being under leveled there, as those spiders were pretty consistent level 5, while you were level 3 and 4.
i think it really helped me here to have two good tanks – dwarf and paladin ive buit my defence line across the full diagonal of the starting square and turned on their parry buffs on the very first turn also, dont forget to refill your belt slots (i think there might be an option for auto-refilling in game settings)
btw, today we will have Solasta released on Steam – i believe you have shown some kind of preview on this game earlier? (i know we already have BG3 – but still…)
i like fights on the ice here – they are fun (but rare…)
