  1. Haven't played Oblivion in a good 15 years? The game came out in March of 2006, it's impossible to have played it 15 years ago. I may be nitpicking, but I doubt this is your list, as you claim, and question your knowledge.

  2. Some other quest to tie with Skyrim's "Frostflow Abyss" — at least, for me: "Paarthurnax" — I mean, come on, killing good ole Partysnax, just to satisfy the appetite of a couple of dragonslayer wannabes? Urgh.h

  3. That one quest where you had to find the diaries of that deranged necromancer to subjects female ghosts into his harem and their bodies into his personal army could also have made this list.

  4. I don't think Elder Scrolls Online should be associated with the other Elder Scrolls games since it blithely ignores established lore. That being said, I think the darker quests are some of the most well written, enjoyably creepy, and over all fun to play through.

  5. I can never remember quest names, but there were a lot of disturbing quests in ESO. The public dungeon in Deshaan for instance, with more cannibals. (Honestly more disturbing than the one you mentioned since that village made that pact in accordance with the old ways, and really didn’t want the wife to die)

There was also that one in the northwest of Summerset, where someone found out they owned the land of a sunken town, only to find out that the plague ridden residents had descended underground, and were only kept alive by the NPC’s ancestors having taken on the symptoms of the plague. To make matters worse they planned to sacrifice him so they could return.

  6. Since I always play a vampire in Skyrim (with Better Vampires mod, because screw the BS not vampires Bethsoft thought up). So the cannibal coven is competition that must be removed.

  7. When I do "Boetheia's Calling", I usually sacrifice that chick who beat a kid to death in Whiterun! Doing that with her is so easy. I'm like:' You're about to get what you deserve!'

  8. #8 is a stretch. While it may be true that the Dibella is the goddess of happiness, love and intimacy, there's ZERI indication that anything sexual happens in the temple among the priestesses that you leave the girl with. In point of fact, everything suggests that the women may actually be chase (outside of the fact that you can marry one if you so choose with the Hearthfire DLC additions). In fact, many see her being appointed as a blessing and that she'll be taken of for the rest of her life as a spiritual leader and touchstone. I've played through Skyrim God only knows how many times and I to always play a honorable and good-hearted character and I've never had a moral problem taking the girl her and dropping her off.

  9. It's not super dark but I think the "Origin of the Gray Prince" quest from Oblivion is pretty tragic. I thought Agronak gro-Malog was a nice guy, so to have to give him such terrible news about his father and then see him so devastated that he refuses to defend himself when you fight him for the arena quest line was really tough for me.

  10. Um…the quest for the girl to become part of the Dibellan worshipers isn't dark. If you pay attention, the position she's taking within the Dibellan church means she must remain chaste throughout her life. Yeah, sucks for her to never have sex, but it isn't dark at all as she's also not going to get molested either (probably the worst she will have it is being incredibly frustrated… =p).

  11. Less dark than it is just pretty sad, there is a side quest in Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC called "Final Resting". Where you get approached by a severely depressed and suicidal man that asks you to kill them since he doesnt want to commit suicide since that would mean that he'd be forever bound to the so-called "Hill of Suicides". As a ghost. So he asks you to do it when he doesnt expect it and he also doesnt want to know when it'll happen. Which pretty much ends up with him standing at a cliff and he will talk to you about his life and about how much he wishes for a gust of wind to hit him so his pain can finally be over. And you have the option to push him off the cliff. And while he's falling to his death, he will thank you for freeing him from his suffering
