Funny how the very first game on the list is, as you say, a Japanese exclusive and yet appears in this video in full English. Almost as if you're using the English patched/emulated version but don't feel the need to address the painfully obvious discrepancy on display here. Good work…
Can't stand Dark Seed. Confusing point and click adventure puzzles are troubling enough. Add to it the usual game ending mistakes that don't manifest until later and a time limit, and you've created something terrifying in a bad way.
That said, Sweet Home, I feel, should have been rated higher. It's Capcom's first dip into the concept of survival horror and one of the foundations for what would become the Resident Evil series. Just don't try to play it without a guide. No real way to tell what the stats of weapons are otherwise.
Obscure was a good game that took a very tragic turn in the sequel. Obscure II was more depressing than scary.
I love that you mentioned Koudelka! It's followed by the Shadowhearts Trilogy. The first two entries maintain heavily gothic horror inspired elements like in Koudelka. The third (while still an excellent game) feels more sci-fantasy with horror undertones. Still. Great franchise, and I always welcome being reminded of it!
Edit: In Shadowhearts, instead of the semi-tactics grid type battles, you have more standard JRPG combat. With one caveat. The success and strength of your moves is entirely dependent upon a mechanic called the Judgment Ring.
Have you ever heard of a PC game called Frankenstein: Through the eyes of a Monster? It has Tim Curry as Dr. Frankenstein. And you play as tge Monster as you find your missing daughter who was kidnapped by a child serial killer you were falsely accused of before a lynch mob murdered you.
Your list brought back some memories. Cold Fear, Nightmare Creatures, Sanitarium, Obscure, great games! Also Gorky 17 had a very great, scary atmosphere. UN troops sent to investigate some unnatural happenings in an abandoned russian city.
Project Zero on PS2
Love your messages at the end of your vids. Always a nice little pick me up.

no love for Eternal Darkness
Cape Fear was such an underrated game. Ubisoft can’t make a game now that’s not an open world action adventure RPG
3D monster Maze looks a lot like my favorite game on the Atari 2600 Tunnel Runner.
Fatal Frame (all of them)
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Call of Cthulhu
Siren
🖤
gangsta kiss to sky
R.I.P Silent Hill PT.
You were gone too soon. 🖤

Haunting ground is my favorite horror game ever! Such a great forgotten gem!
The only one on this list worth playing and should be remastered and get a sequel is Cold Fear
I think The Suffering games were severely under appreciated.
Sanitarium was awesome and had me hooked from the start.
I also played Nightmare Creatures but got bored with it; just seemed too repetitive for me.
check out Project Firestart, it was on the Commodore 64 and by EA way back in 1989, it's one survival horror game that always stuck with me
Fuck yes, Nightmare Creatures rules
Loved cold fear, it's a shame it's classified as a re4 rip off, even when it started development before.

Does any body remember Clone on PS1 Net Yaroze? It looks like it may have been inspired by the last game in this video.
Still have Cold Fear for my Dreamcast. Excellent game!
jules' messages at the end of the videos are always my favorite part
Illbleed for the Dreamcast was pretty good, although it was as much comedy as horror.

Sweet Home was also sited as an inspiration for Resident Evil
