[16] Baldur's Gate 3 [Roleplay – Tiefling Warlock] – Hunting Devils, Zhentarim Hideout, Flaming Fist

Welcome to Baldur’s Gate 3 and return to the Forgotten Realms! Here is Valens de la Vega, a Tiefling Warlock who has been kidnapped by Mindflayers. Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.

  1. Tomorrow is the finale for BG1 Act One. I don't know what their update process is like and how that may impact content creation. It's likely the full game will be complete in a year, since that follows the model of their previous title. I'm thinking that even if they delete a save for major updates, I'll replay with all the same decisions and Valens will continue to be our early access character. Let me know how this sounds! We have Watch Dogs: Legion coming up in a few days then AC: Valhalla and THEN Cyberpunk all on this channel! If you like the format for this series, it'll be the same for those.

  2. Love the series, love the channel, love the creator and love everyone of you!

This day and age is quite a oddity and we can all get lonely if you live alone.

Stay safe and never forget you are loved if not by others then by me! Stay humble -Fyre ❤️
    Appreciate yourself, you are special

  3. Wow, Karlach has one hell (heh) of a backstory. I'm pretty sure she'll end up as a future companion and get a new model where she has one horn (currently she has two). I've seen people speculate she may be a paladin, perhaps an oathbreaker who once served Zariel. Maybe that'll get expanded upon when the Paladin class gets added.
I laughed at the invisible Valens in the third dream scene. Perhaps he wanted to be out of there so strongly he just phased out. This goes to show that simply using the illithid powers in combat will trigger the dreams, so you should avoid them in the future if you don't want to be dragged further into the Absolute's snares.
The Flaming Fists say you should probably chase the Drow back into the Underdark. I hope you do, because there's still some content you missed there. You need to get back to the friendly mindflayer, save the deep gnome's family and perhaps run into some silly fish people while you're at it. Looking forward to your next episode, even if it may be the last one for a long while!

  4. This game is very impressive so far. I love the openness, the various paths one can take an encounter and the detail implicit.
Case in point was that dank tomb area with the looters.
How you approach the initial set matters. If you go through the proverbial entrance you talk to the arguing looters but if you come around the back, they instantly all go aggro.

Also, if you use the stone block to kill the first pair, one of the corpses will be found down in the barrack area and all of the looters down below are arrayed staring at the door leading to the room the noise came from. If the player never uses that hanging block of stone, the bedroom is intact and the looters are searching the room still unawares and complaining there's nothing to be found.
Just amazing attention to detail/continuity and a ton of empty containers posing as what you'd expect to see in a dank tomb in the process of being looted. The entire game is set up like that.

  5. man this game was really fun, albeit quite buggy and it has alot of weird stuff going on. but i cant help but be addicted to it despite all the bugs and stuff, cant wait for it to come out fully so i can play through the whole game. I still cant decide how my character will be it depends on which classes will be for the full game but bard looks quite interesting

  6. This was a nice episode. Happy to see that Tiefling was not a demon murdering refugees. This new town you discovered is very interesting. Looking forward to how it all turns out. Keep up the good work. These mercenaries are very interesting. Hopefully there’s more with the Duke that has been taken prisoner, also is he the Duke that the goblins in the fortress were talking about raiding?

Looking forward to the next episode. Keep up the good work.

  7. interesting, something i've noticed is in my playthrough I helped save the councillor. Whilst in yours she was already rescued. I think they have progression per choice made in the game. Since the only difference I really can see is you went to the underdark first I went and fought the Gnolls and did this first. Still need to do the underdark section so now i'm wondering how much has changed down there from your playthrough.
