8 Reasons Why Cyberpunk 2077 (Might) Be Cancelled
1 – Cyberpunk 2077 launch underperformed financially (per their own expectations)
2 – It’s impossible to make this game run well on last-gen consoles
3 – Why focus on the single player game when the real cash cow is Cyberpunk Online microtransactions
4 – No matter what they do with the single player game their reputation will not be restored
5 – It’s a single player game, who drops loads of money into fixing a single player game?
6 – Their literally 0 incentives to fix the game for CD Projekt Red
7 – They are going to make a mobile game for Cyberpunk, which is a higher priority
8 – Merchandise sales, product integrations, etc. for Cyberpunk 2077

  1. last gen: offered FULL refund regardless of time played. next gen: worked ok enough to not be outraged, steam offers refunds for 1 hour, microsoft offered refunds, and Sony offered refunds for ps5 (with consequences to CDPR). peeps like to cry a lot….don't trust ANY company…learn it love it live it. be a fool, get played for a fool. life.

  2. The day CDPR went public, they ceased to be CDPR and became a totally different creature. The failure of this game and all CDPRs actions surrounding it, especially contrasted with the Witcher series, can be explained almost entirely by one fact – CDPR is now a publicly traded company.

I think these guys are describing a worst case scenario. I wouldn't be surprised if they use the DLC as a platform to draw people into multiplayer and micro-transactions. And I don't mean by fixing the game and expanding it to provide a quality single-player experience and then getting people to try multiplayer by proxy…I mean by literally making the DLC all about multiplayer…making it watered down or incomplete without it. Imagine having the option to play a big mission on a server, maybe with a team of other players (sort of like Johnny's memory run on Arosaka) – but if you opt out, you just get a montage, and move on to the next part of the DLC…that is the sort of next-level BS I'd expect from a publicly traded company.

Multiplayer has some potential other FPS's don't, though. The Afterlife could be a legitimate hub for trade. Fixers could offer different kinds of high-threat, team-oriented missions…players could get slotted to them based on their build or gear, making complex missions possible. Brain dances could network players into pre-built characters nothing like their single-player characters, etc. Could be fun, and novel in a lot of ways, if they do it right.

  3. Wow you guys really are just throwing in the towel aren't ya? This video is a joke. Before you jump to all these conclusions, why dont you try and remember a little game called No mans sky. That game was in basically the same position as this game and look at how popular and great NMS is today. The game runs pretty well on the upgraded (pro) version consoles. Its also struggling on ps5 just as much as pc in some cases. It WILL be better in time. Fuck multiplayer. So Just stop.

  4. In my opinion they're going to stick fixing the single-player aspect. Before Cyberpunk was released it was advertised as a single-player game. CD Projekt Red has to fix thier relationship with Sony first and I think that's top priority for them. Switching to multi-player won't give Sony an excuse to resell the game on the PSN because that's not why people bought the game. They wanted the single-player action-adventure. They have to fix the single-player whether they like it or not. Because if they stop fixing the game Sony is never going to release it to PSN again if CD Projekt Red wants to make revenue again. Removing it was a crippling blow to thier finances including the refunds.

  5. Hey i actually enjoy this game despite the flaws. I played on ps4 pro. No major issues just the typical small stuff like graphical glitches. The game atleast from a performance standpoint is much better now. I recently finished a playthrough and enjoyed it alot. I really hope CDPR can bounce back from all this mess and make CP2077 a great game. Tbh I blame the higherups. Not the development team. I genuinely believe that the devs pleaded for more time but the Boys in suits wouldn't give it to them. The development team are trying hard to fix the mistakes despite the bullshit from the higherups. They do NOT deserve the hate they are getting. They are dealing with enough already. Especially with the hacker bs recently.😡

    Give them a break..😔

  6. Well their reputation is so bad right now that canceling it might not even do much to it. But who are you going to sell the multi-player game to? Who will come back to that broken mess? Who's going to believe their promises?
It's a huge undertaking they don't only have to fix a broken mediocre game but also regain a lot of trust from the community they fucked over.

  7. Honestly the game is absolutely incredible, it's not easy making a game, I want to see people complaining do better. Go back to visual basic and let them make The game, sure it's buggy and unfinished. Just like a lot of games, I used to play world of Warcraft, back then glitches were everywhere on vanilla, but they fixed a lot, and added content, the game is not an easy development

  8. This is short single player game without replayability ( decisions change NOTHING ) now everyone who wanted this game , got it and many ppl refunded. Maybe in 10 years they will launch remastered edition and will be like in trailers

  9. 18:20 yeah I completely agree with you, which is sad man. too many people are simps who will pay for literal shit nowadays. why give the budget to the game development, the world building, the programmers and coders. when you can get your marketing team and drop big money on ads, and they can literally sell an empty box to people and they'll pre-purchase it. this is so effective in fact, before the empty box releases, they've sold more than projected sales.

  10. Do you realize how easy and forgiving gamers are just look at final fantasy 14 or no mans sky as proif that gamers are the most forgetful and stupid types of people out there and this is coming from a gamer

How can you people be this stupid if CDOR completely scraps cyberpunk 2077 despite the massive failed launch it will drive away any and all potential buyers cause it'll show them that they lack commitment to something

  11. You guys are correct: CD Projekt Red DID cash-in their reputation with Cyberpunk 2077. The game's dead; and, imo, will NEVER be patched to run well. The game has too many problems on nearly every platform with gaping holes in missing content, etc. It's more likely, that CD Projekt Red might even close their studios and reinvent themselves. /smh

  12. Only way they’re going to regain any trust from the consumers again is if they fix the standard game, otherwise people literally don’t care, nobody I’ve seen gives a fuck and/or wants multiplayer, they just want the game they paid for. If they did this they would seriously just be destroying themselves even more and this video definitely doesn’t help to be honest.
It’s fix the game or nothing to almost everybody, if they did what you’re saying everybody would just hate them even more, bad take, not sure what you guys are thinking to be honest? Why would they do that? That’s just suicide.
