AK BUFF in Escape from Tarkov is still NOT enough? Tarkov Weapon Builds in 12.9

The AK system in Escape from Tarkov could be a little bit more meta. But Battelstate Games buffed the AKs in EFT recently and we are talking about this buff and how does it effects to the actual meta. In our opinion you can have some mediocre AK builds in Escape from Tarkov. If you spend a little bit more into your weapon build those builds can be good also but the thing is right now you only have two kinda meta weapons from the AK platform in Tarkov. One is the AK-103 which shoots 7.62 BP and the other one is the RPK which works really well as a budget meta 5.45 AK system. But in Escape from Tarkov AKs should be better but we should be aware that we don’t get a power creep into Tarkov.

  1. I am playing the AK's, but then again I never stopped… It would be nice if they showed the AK some love, I mean this is Tarkov. I find it funny that 7.62 nato rifles are more usable full auto when pimped out than 7.62×39. I will say the RPK is in a good spot from my perspective at the moment and is very useable for a decent price. A long barreled HK or M4 with a heavy stock should not be beating a AK 104 with a suppressor (a almost hollow can) for ergo.

  2. Low level players – only AKMS or AK-104 with PS ammo, long range VPO-136 with TAC-30 scope and silencer or .366 version if you have access to ammo, high level – BP ammo, AK-103 semi meta build RRD-4C, Kiba gas tube, UFM handguard (second best), RK-3 and PT74M = 72 ergo/71 recoil (depends of the grip). Personally I prefer to build SR-58 by buying short modded version (with grip) for around 55-65k, get basic long one for 45-51k, swapp stock, grip and dust cover (sell parts and 1st gun for around 58k), add Aim Sport handguard, lantec muzzle combo and 50 round mag = 24 ergo/91 recoil. You can run M80s on budget and destroy people on Reserve.
RPK is overall better choice than 7.62 versions, but the price of good ammo is insane.

  3. 545 AKs is fun to use when you do meme raids/ early wipe with BT, but when you got out dps by a val or HK in resort, it is just not strong enough for CQB situations, despite BS/7N is around same price compared with 995(if you craft 995 in ur hideout) or 9X39 BP(if you do barters from prapor) and ttk is just way too long when killing bosses and their guards.
