Arcane Episode 9 Reaction (League of Legends)!!

NEED SEASON 2 NOW!! Why is this show so good? The nation of Zaun has never been more a possibility, but can Silco pay it’s price? Vi and Silco battle for Powder’s true identity while Jayce tries to find the middle ground. One of the most climactic cliff-hangers I’ve ever seen.

  1. I mark the strength of a show by how the villain interacts with the characters, both good and bad characters. In my view, if you can make a "villain" that evokes an emotional response from the viewer beyond that of them killing the protagonist or something, that is how you know it is a good villain.
like I love how Silco has a goal, has his people, but is still a monster. Yet that monstrous side is softened by his love for his adoptive daughter and that she is overall what he will do anything for and sacrifice anything for, including his mission.
Like that scene with him at Vanders statue and how he understands why vander was unable to fight in a war because of his daughters, that is what I love to see.

  2. okay this is a theory of mine that might or might not be true but if you dont want spoiler even if its wrong dont read further!

so hear me out. i actually think that silco will reappear in the second season. and he will be the champion shaco! i know its a wild guess but shaco has actually almost no lore! all his lore says is that the puppet shaco turned evil through DARK MAGIC and after he lost his beloved CHARGE. if you look at the shaco splash art there is the purple stuff on his blades and the jack in the box puppets and he has purple-ish eyes. also riot announced to rewrite his story but never did, maybe because that would be arcane spoiler. furthermore shaco is a clown puppet that uses daggers and toys as weapons. nah? reminds you of someone? jinx does the same. AAAAND silco uses daggers in episode 3 a lot! the focus is so often on the dagger and he even stabs vander in the back. shacos q ability is invisibility and he crits if he stabs someone in the back. if you think about jinx, she is always seen as the harlequinn of arcane. so she is missing her joker right? and as she said in episode 9, nothing ever stays dead. so silco will also get a shimmer cure and turn into a murderous clown. am i crazy or on to something? 😀

  3. Hello, I agree with you. It was really smart to release this series over 3 acts – It was way better format to appreciate the whole story. I thought nothing can beat Lord of the Rings trilogy for me but now I'm not sure about that after this. I knew this will be great show but I didn't expect this to be such a masterpiece. Now I don't regret playing League over 10 years.

  4. At the beginning of Vi and Sevika's second fight, the guy at the jukebox is the same one from episode 5 that Vi beat up and took his jacket😂 Sevika is a kool character, but she's always getting her ass kicked by the sisters🤣🤣
'The monster you created' could easily also be about Jinx and Silco's relationship. He allowed and pushed her to be her most "volatile" self. Which wasn't a good thing for everyone else, obviously. It caused some of his people to turn on him. As well as lead to his death. So, I don't think that association is just referring to Vi, but him as well.
When Jinx brought out that dish covering, I started hyperventilating and saying, "no, please no". And, I'm sorry Jinx, but you are that crazy. It's one of the reasons we love and fear you.
I believe that Silco loved Jinx but, he helped create someone unstable and, it ended up being his downfall.
I think Jinx shot and both Vi and Silco. Vi just ducked out of the way in time and, Silco didn't. I think she was trying to silence the voices in her head and she went crazed like in episode 4 when she shot at Sevika and her crew while fighting the firelights. Parallels again😁
This show is definitely a masterclass and, I'm going to miss the hell out of it and your reactions and analysis of it👍🏽

  5. The flaw that Vi had is she couldn't accept her sister as what she had become. She loves and couldn't let go of Powder she still has the delusion that Jinx is that scared little girl she always defended her whole life and didn't see she has grown to be something else. Silco accepted this as both Jinx's father figure and confidant as to him Jinx is who she is and he loves her for whatever she had become. Vi still has a sister but it wasn't Powder she was Jinx and she couldn't see that. Silco had pure emotions and feelings for Jinx as a father but he served as a catalyst for her descent.

In a third party perspective. It's easy for both Caitlyn and Jinx to antagonize one another. As they see each other as people simply breaking down or pulling Vi to a path she shouldn't be in. To Caitlyn. Jinx is an unhinged murderer. And to Jinx. Caitlyn is manipulating Vi in someway to push her away or capture her.

All in all the dinner scene was very great. Shows all perspectives and insights from both parties.

Jinx sees that VI doesn't see her as a sister. She sees Powder as a sister but not her whole.

Small snippet Vi cares a lot for Caitlyn not just in a romantic term. She has grown to rely on Caitlyn as remember years in Stillwater Vi would have no one but at that moment her closest ally and somewhat partially enemy was Cait. Caitlyn despite being an enforcer and Piltover citizen did respect her during their investigation and aided her like an equal. Whereas someone would've normally ditched her after all those chaotic moments they had. Only cemented it when she saw her pure ideals for both parts of the city.

Btw, the relationship between those two are pining for each other currently not yet cemented.
What about us? Is merely a question pertaining to their bond as confidants.

This is simply my insight. But, we all have our own eyes to the situation.

  6. The layers of constant irony in this series is remarkable. And the final episode added so many more notes of this. Silco being in the same shoes as Vander from episode 3, Jinx killing Silco despite his true care for her and being completely honest about his loyalty to her, and then Jinx aiming for the council chamber while they were about to make Silco's dream of Zaun come true. I am beside myself. Best show ever.
