  1. Oh, DMC2 – a game with the most rocky developpement ever.
So, after Hideki Kamiya got booted from Capcom, they brought in literally an unknown (like we still don't know who was the initial director for it) and a team that pretty much had no idea what they wanted to do. Then, 5 months before release, that director got booted and in was brought Capcom's golden goose – Hideaki Itsuno, the man responsible for Darkstalkers, CVS2, Jojo Heritage of the Future, Power Stone and Rival Schools, to fix that entire trainwreck. So he did, he is the reason DMC2 is even playable because when he was brought on board, *the team barely finished animating Stinger attack*. To the surprise of literally noone, when DMC2 shipped, everyone hated the game. Even Capcom doesn't want to touch this game outside of marketing obligations and it shows because in the "History of Devil May Cry" movie made for DMC5, it got less screen time than DMC Anime, that is – literally 15 seconds of screen time. However, there's now a slight beacon (?) of hope for it, as in Capcom leak – DMC2 source code got leaked, so it's now quite possible for fans to just remake that entire game themselves. And considering how active DMC modding scene is, it has a chance of happening, if someone decides to spend his time further fixing that trainwreck.
Itsuno, though, decided to "make up" for DMC2 by taking everything salvageable from it and making it work. And thus was birthed DMC3. Often considered one of the best action games and one of the hardest action games, it singlehandedly brought back good will to IP *and then some*. There's a very valid reason DMC3 Dante appears in most crossovers and game's theme song "Devils Never Cry" is often strapped to Dante as his leitmotif.
Speaking of it, I didn't quite catch if you're playing PS2 version or OG PC? If you're playing OG PC version – *don't*. It is a really bad port of the game that barely runs 20 FPS on modern hardware, gamepad is a pain in the ass to setup and it looks like actual trash. Most people now consider Switch version of DMC3 to be the "definitive" version of it, because it has things people often mod into HD version of 3 like Style Switcher and Weapon Switcher and coop Bloody Palace mode as well as running pretty decently on Switch.

  2. I shall take a pass on RE 7 and RE 8 for that matter. Naturally the remaining ROFL Raffle streams are of interest to me. Another thing of interest is your mention of eventually doing Dead Space. It's a way better offering than RE 7 and RE 8 imo.

Regarding a suggestion on what to stream later next year I suppose I can offer up one quite excellent game. I suggest Detroit: Become Human. Detroit: Become Human is an adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment released on April 24,2018. The designer was David Cage. It's for the PS4. The game had 3 musical score composers fyi. Without reveal too much you play as 3 different protagonists who's stories gradually converge to form a single story. A lot of decisions both time based and non-time based as well as plenty of QTE moments. Excellent CGI and great motion capture work. A few well known voice actors who took part in the motion capture work as well. The game can be replayed multiple times to see various endings as it uses a flow chart scheme for choices taken and not taken. Basically the designer stated its meant to be akin to a painting. Each gamer plays it and develops their own individual story based on their choices. I believe it's worth your attention Shadow.

  3. I love dmc3 the best when it comes to hack n' slash, and the bosses are the best part of it imo! We hear "this is the goat" all time, but this one may well be the goat of hack n' slash ☺

  4. We're getting RE7 in 2020!! OMGGGGGGG HYPE MODE ACTIVATED!!!!! AHHHHHHH LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!! I actually only played the first Dead Space myself back in 2013. Don't remember much of the story besides being ultimately terrified but it will be nice to refresh my memory on it. Pretty sure your LP will give me all the urge I need to seek out the other two titles to complete the series 😀
