great video, I love that your bg3 videos are no like any other "just gameplay"
I always fail to crush the little bugger !
That nerfing of intelligence was a bit stupid, imo. Such retcons just fuck up the lore. They could have at least had variants where the intelligence was lower or higher.
A Neothelid would be an interesting super boss.
Sorta akin to Dark Souls 3's Midir or Pokèmon Soul Silver/Heart Gold's Red.
Something tucked away, hidden and optional.
I'm sure it'd drop decent loot but the allure for me would be the fight itself.
Great video, friend.
Can you do a video about what the hag says about the tampering done on the tadpoles if you let her try to heal you?
Awesome video Harbs. I squished that little dude in my play through … I will have to let it go once we go full release in case it turns into something we want t meet later! 🙂
Can an escaped tadpole like the one in game (If you let it go) Infest another person?
For tadpole to transform into neothelid it needs lots of sustenance.
Mine got away. 🦑🐉
It would be cool if a Neothelid could get into a giants brain once it was the right size because they would have to grow and not just grow to be that exact size…
Wow! A game based on Stranger Things!?!?! /s
Wait, them not having a host is the messier route? Pardon my scepticism 😛
It should die and shrivel up though
Only the largest tadpoles in the brine pools start to cannibalise each other as they starve. They naturally grow, however if they become too large they would normally be either killed by a monitoring mind flayer or fed to an elder brain 🧠
The largest tadpole left alive in the pool would grow into a neothelid and become a mindless killing machine with its hunger for intelligence and brain matter leading its now primal urges.
It is said that one thing Illithid/mind flayers fear are Neothelid’s as they’re intelligence is so low, that mind flayers cannot detect their thoughts to locate them and can unknowingly be hunted by them.
One of your theories might be correct (the goddess Shar is likely a major power player in this game). You might be interested in the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHhNMpQTkh8
Also Omeluum and the order in which he belongs might be an interesting lore video – I'm new to D&D so I stilling learning lore. Omeluum video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWKbGCc2QaI
i let it scurry away in the only hopes of seing it again later at a higher level, both of us i mean, same with the crushed mindflayer B)
Yeah, I'm a little… concerned about that tadpole.
If the tadpole comes out when the host dies, then in order to get rid of it, one simply needs to die and then wait until the tadpole comes out, and then someone in the party can use a scroll or pay 200 to the undead dude in the camp to resurrect the dead companion, problem solved!
Cool.. U got my sub 😁
would be a great pet
Wait, why is standard tadpole is inside that dwarf head? Isn't dwarf too small?
crushed the bugger only in one play through out of three
