The Southern Empire and the Khuzait declare war on each other. Also Bartimus’ sister Alea has turned 18 and joins her brother’s army. Later Bartimus recruits Abagai the swift as a companion. After gathering an army he lays siege to Argoron and Atrion Castle. After the sieges Bartimus loses most of his soldiers to khuzait armies.
Wishing to create his own imperial faction Bartimus decides to leave the Southern Empire. He surrenders his fiefs to Rhagaea, and the Vesuvian Clan becomes independent of any kingdom. He then decides to provoke a conflict with the Khuzait by attacking a caravan.
