You're completely right. Having 5 layers of RNG for artifacts is just insanity. You need the right set (of 2), the right type (of 5), the right main stat (of a lot, except for feather and flower), the right substats (that's nearly the worst) AND THE RIGHT ROLLS (with rates that never seem to got where you want them to). And if you add to that the artifact rarity (I mean by that the number of substats you get on your artifact with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4), it adds up to a RNG miracle if you get a "good enough" artifact… so what do you need for a really good one ? This is just ridiculous.
I had a feather recently that dropped with 4 stats, crit rate, crit damage, flat Def and flat attack. I put a crappy level 16 feather into it, got 5x exp and got it to level 20. Every boost went into the flat stats…
That's the reason why i left this game, after months of farming 1 set (close to 1000 runs) and it's still trash while friends do 20-30 runs and get godrolls. Hope we get an item to roll 1 substat or the mainstat, so i have a reason to come back.
