I came here to watch Space Wolves and all I found were Grey Primaris Marines. Where are the unique supplement units? Shame they are not in the army. Great paint job regardless.
Yeah, new Death Company and Death Visions are entirely underwhelming. And I was a avid supporter of Death Company in 8th, what they've turned into in 9th is just depressing. It's so bad, and I didn't know turning Primaris Characters into Death Company would put one of my favorite units in the trash.
My main critique is the amount of CP you guys are using for re-rolls. It's typically never worth it to re-roll with a CP, unless it's for pivotal charge or definitively game changing roll. Stratagems are an infinitely better use of CP than CP re-rolls, but you're out of CP half way through turn 2… due to inconsequential re-rolls. Feels bad.
Correct me if I'm wrong. The first fight phase when the DC started attacking. He allocated the attacks the intercessor squad that did they heroic intervention. I thought the charging unit could not target a HI unit?
Just a thought I had. Dave when luka tried to catch your warlord ou should have just fallen back with your warlord but left the marines in. The you can still get the charge on your next turn rather than letting him fight first.
I'm building a space Wolf army during covid lockdowns to stave off loneliness. I haven't actually played a game and probably won't for quite some time so I'm trying to learn the rules / strategy through these videos.
I feel like there is very little that makes this a space Wolf army, am I wrong? or space Marines all kind of the same except for their paint scheme and a few doctrines? Is it common to not use the chapter specific models?
Luka made a Space Marine army not a Space Wolf Army. When he said his Rune Priest took Stormcaller instead of Instincts Awoken against a distinctly Blood Angel melee list had me make a big sigh.
I love this Batrep but i have to say something: Please BA brother Buurrrnnn those bad dices please, you was so great, but those dices…pffff jajajajajajaja
One of the best battle reports ive ever watched. That was a really close match and was guessing right until the final score had been read to who had actually won.
So… I sent similar feedback to Dave about optimization in this regard: Luka, I'd love to see you run bladeguard and assault intercessors. Your chapter tactic and specialist doctrine are both designed for melee combat. Recognizing that you are limited by studio collection and collecting multiple armies, I would suggest a squad of bladeguard and an impulsor.
Amazing game!

Wasn't the space wolve's heroic challenge answered by the techmarine? So Luka missed out on that 15 pts? Wouldn't really have effected the outcome tho
Any Ultramarines?

Thank you MWG, really enjoyed that (the game, the armies, the scenery, the banter)
The mission specific objective needed be scored with objectives in your opponents zone, not the midboard. Great battle overall tho fellas!
Where did you get those blood angels dice?

Those blood angel dice roll a ton of 6s
So basically the Blood Angels and Space Wolves are arguing over who is more Khorne worshiping.
The inceptors attack at 1:54. Shouldnt he have added additional hits for the 6s and also reroll 1s for the Morkai Teeth Bolts?

Do you guys know the SW flyer with flat 6 dmg? And the other with 4 dmg flat?
Its totally BS! FCK 9th edition balancing
Dark Angels vs Space Wolves would be super iconic.
🙂
You can shoot your bolt
Guns in combat unless the true grit stratagem is gone
maybe MWG won't bring 2 terrible meme lists against each other
Sees the bunker
Today is not that day
The soyboy doesn’t have pink hair anymore

They're Dreadninjas.
Make Mark of Dave Great Again

Red vs blue. What happened to the fluffy bat reps?
Very good game. Wonder how it would have gone if wolves went first.
One of my favorite matches yet. Great to see you two going at it.
Those are some really beautiful armies, guys!

Are you doing the +1 to wound in melee with BA? Didn’t look like it but I’m still learning 9th myself
Good game guyz 🍺👍🏻
The Hammerfall is whole ass Dante points-wise… thats kinda sad
you guys forgot the repulsor fields on the hover tanks. negative to charge.
Me:
-Ah finally Blood Angels! 🙂
-Oh its Dave with a hammerfail bunker. 🙁

Just a quick question, how did the Death company get into the Assault Doctrine turn One?
Grey Ultramarines Vs Red Ultramarines with 16 deatcompany marines. How interesting!
That is not a Space Wolve Army, it is a Space Marine Army played with the SW-Supplement….that is not my way, sorry.
both armies look amazing !
That Saga is amazing, basically allows him to do everything
