  1. Excited to see your review of Santa Monica. I picked it up because I had a 50% coupon for AEG and got a few of their games. We enjoyed it but I want to play it with more than just 2 to really figure out how much we like it.

  2. Sometimes, I expect more thought being put into opinions/statements than content creators apparently spend thinking about them. There are some very obvious reasons why an IP owner would want/require a KS to launch in a certain window (they planned on receiving their royalties payment in a certain financial quarter and synced this KS launch with the delivery of their new software release hoping to get an influx of new customers for said software release) and no obvious reasons (that I can think of) why the IP owner would care when the actual board games are delivered to backers. They would simply want a company they could trust to deliver a quality product to backers that lived up to their brand.

  3. Regarding Stellaris. I canceled my pledge. I''ve heard several people (including you) talk about Eclipse 2nd Edition so I checked it out and the quality differences of the campaign was striking. I really like many of the Stellaris mechanics but not enough at this point.

  4. Thanks again. Have a delightful weekend. Playing games and other stuff you can do around the house. So the Q&A is not tomorrow but in 8 days that is? By the way, I am curious to your thoughts on Trails of Tucana.

  5. That post is total Bologna! Shut Up & Sit Down gave glowing reviews of ALL the reprints. The real problem was all of them were constantly out of stock EVERYWHERE! How rude of this guy to blame reviews and people who constantly talk about their deep love of Ra and Tigris and Euphrates! Some people.

  6. I'd love to see you post some playthroughs of Zombicide and some more of your favorite boardgames on top of the newer ones. It could give you an opportunity to pull out Zombicide Invader too 😉

  7. Z-Man games is full of crap. It has nothing to do with older games not selling, or that you have to be on Kickstarter, or whatever their whining was about.
It's that the market has changed, and people want games that are not only fun to play, but also have high production quality and look good.
If they were to do an updated, high-quality, new artwork, of these classic euro games, they would sell.

  8. Hi Alex, kind of related to this week's news, a suggestion for one of your "Alex Talks Board Games" videos.
Are there too many board games being published / Is the number of games being published good or bad for the industry.
    Another great week as always.

  9. So excited for Wild Assent since you reviewed it. Not sure why I've been sitting on backing late pledge Stormsunder for several months now (maybe the vampire theme is the big turnoff?) but I'll likely back both this year.
