Castle Crashers and the Behemoth: Retrospective – Storming the Video Game Industry



Castle Crashers is a 2D cooperative Beat ‘Em Up game independently developed and published by The Behemoth in 2008 — launching on the Xbox 360 as part of the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade. An annual feature that began in 2008 and ended in 2013 which focused on promoting downloadable titles including Braid, Trials HD, and Limbo to name a few.

As one of the most popular titles to come from the summer of arcade, Castle Crashers, became the Behemoth’s biggest seller to date. It also showcased what the Xbox Live Arcade had to offer — creative and affordable, bite-sized downloads
