You didn't have to completely kill the game dead like bethesda on fallout 76 where they proudly sent the dev to an interview to tell the world that they had had the brainchild to remove all npcs from an rpg. But you could've began walking back the more wild hype.
I sat there very stupidly with my copy vowing not to refund it while thinking I was going to be rewarded with the entire season of dlc for my loyalty for free. When that wasn't announced immediately. I started getting business realistic.
Then I realized even the refunders are expecting that season of free content and I realized the sad horrific business reality of this title. And I think Elon as a gamer and a businessman has about surmised the same.
Just like you can't glue pages into a choose your own adventure book for my 80s babies here. You can't update story arcs and choices within the original content of your title with a title update. It needs to go back to an oven for that.
Any good will this company had has probably been beaten out of them with four major lawsuits they've handed victory to the prosecutors with their oopsie memo to gamers. Also probably 50 percent revenue reduction from expectations. Also being pred into giving top notch bonuses. Also making sure nobody goes crying to schrier.
This game will never be what it was supposed to be, what was advertised.
You can wait as many years as you want but sooner or later people are gonna forget this game and move on to newer and better games. The sooner you realise this the less disappointed you will be.

The most fun I had in any version of the game was ironically the launch state on PC.
That said, if the Cybertruck shows up in a future dlc, Imma drive that ugly brick right the f*ck of the first bridge I see. Or wait for a random NPC to drill me through the 'bulletproof' windows…
It's interesting because Elon's wife, Grimes, voices Lizzy Wizzy and made music for the game. It must feel a little weird to make art and pour your time and talent into a project that was shipped in a state that is barely holding together.
Sure I want to see you cover Halo
The last patch made clair look horrible compared to before. And some textures are horrible now but the game runs better so it like balance beam. Gotta give up a lot to gain a little.

hope they fix the "play it safe" black screen bug in the next patch, i haven't been able to progress past that mission and been dodging endgame spoilers all this time. Would be nice to finish he game atleast once
