Cyberpunk 2077: Base PS4 vs PS5

Want to know just how different Cyberpunk 2077 looks on PlayStation 5? Check out this graphics comparison between a base PS4 model and PS5.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a stunning game… if you’re playing it on the right systems. It’s being hailed as “the new Crysis” on PC, and you’ll need a powerful graphics card to be able to run CD Projekt Red’s latest at its highest settings. But little footage of the game was shown on console pre-release.

Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has been released, we can finally dig deeper into its console versions. In this video, we compare the game running on PlayStation 5 to the base PlayStation 4 model to see just how much difference Sony’s brand new console makes. It should be noted that the version running on PS5 is actually the PS4 version of the game, playable through backwards compatibility. A patch to upgrade the game for PlayStation 5 will be released next year.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia.

  1. Should have delayed it to like spring 2021 honestly. Its not just the optimization, its the glitches too. Multiple times i had to restart or reload because of glitched, going to double digits during my playthrough. It negatively affect the experience of an otherwise great and fun game.

  2. Yeah it does look better on the PS5 but it would be better to wait out for the patch. I dodged a bullet not getting this for my PS4 Pro! Won't buy until patched for next gen now.

  3. This game is the reason people will want to buy a next gen console sooner if they don't got a PC.

Thanks to CD Projekt Red for increasing sales in Playstation 5's.

  4. It’s so funny how everyone is so pissed off that there are a ton of glitches in the game and saying that they should’ve delayed it again but you ALL know that if they did all of you fuckers would be so enraged and screaming at CDPR.

  5. Playing on Xbox One:
Got the game early, BEFORE the patch
Clocked in 71 straight hours so far
    Still havnt beaten the story

    Runs smoothly
    Game has only crashed once
For a next-gen game, it runs remarkably well on old-gen, and for those who are like "waaah its so buggy" stfu, Skyrim is still always crashing and breaking apart has been for almost a decade now and its one of the greatest games of all time.
    People just want to complain.
