Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch.

Every playthrough will be unique: your universe will be procedurally generated every time you start a new game. There will be different types and distribution of stars, planets and resources. Will you manage to thrive and build your Spheres, no matter what the universe throws at you?

As a space engineer, you are expected to design your interstellar factory and production lines, not to micromanage every small package going back and forth. You have to transport materials from one planet to another, forming interstellar transport teams that gather resources and bring them to where they are needed.

Then, your resources can be transported between facilities through conveyor belts, and you’ve got the technology to help your buildings fit the grid automatically during the construction process. You’ve got the best tools COSMO can afford to build a massive-scale automated production line – the most efficient one ever seen in the universe!

– Build a galactic industrial empire from scratch: start with a small workshop and improve it until it spans the whole galaxy
– Develop your very own Dyson Spheres, a megastructure that orbits around a star harnessing all its power and energy, from the first screw to its completion
– Explore a vast universe procedurally generated with all kinds of celestial bodies: neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants…
– Gather resources in planets of all types: ocean, lava, desert, frozen, gaseous planets…
– Research new technologies to improve your factories… and discover the secrets of the universe
– Enhance mecha fly, sail or jump through outer space and planets
– Transport materials across the galaxy to your facilities: thousands of transport ships will flow endlessly to your factories and back!
– Design the most efficient automated factory and production line
– Customize your factory and Dyson Sphere to make it unique
– Design a balanced power network capable of producing energy in all kinds of power plants like wind turbines, artificial stars, etc.

  1. Another fun video! But why so many pink dumbbells? Hope you are enjoying the update that just dropped that enables deletion of an entire belt, and upgrade in place. I'm loving it! I'd love it even more if there were something like an incinerator that you could just endlessly feed hydrogen into to burn it off. 🙂

  2. Yeah the number of assemblers gets insane on the back half. The quantum processors and the fiber optic cable things take sooooo many assemblers. I also wanted a full blue belt of solar sails to prep for dyson sphere assembly and that also took 80 mk 3 assemblers. Oof!

  3. So, i keep running into the "Shit I ran out of belts. Lets warp back and get more". So I just boosted my production rate of them and inserters and started feeding a them into a tower with warpers. Now I just put a tower on each planet and have belts and sorts shipped out to ever planet.

Also tip for zero energy while sailing. Point your camera where you want to go and hit w rapidly. You turn really fast.

  4. I think a god mode toggle would fit well in the details display in the bottom right (the "H" menu) instead of the top right. I would also love it to have its own hotkey like "L" for turning on/off the Icarus light in that menu does. "G" makes sense, although by default that's already the guide book. "B" for building mode might work too, but that already defaults to construction mode. Maybe just have the hotkey be blank by default and people can set a hotkey if they want to use it. Also, I don't know if someone already pointed it out or if you're aware yet, but you can turn off the god-mode "smart" camera from automatically moving when you place a building if that's what is bugging you with god mode placement for things like mines or leaving spaces for power poles. There's an option for it right above where you select god mode that's only enabled when you have god-mode selected.

  5. May want to re-visit the satellite substations, they've got more range then power towers for connections (no idle power draw) and their area affect is pretty good. I typically use them for distant mining nodes as 1 can easily cover the largest of them. Their area effect becomes more apparent when you chain 4 or 6, huge coverage.

  6. Having on screen things like the calculator that you can't visually see and forgetting to turn it off. You're not alone in doing that, I share you suffering. 😛 Also kitty petting time is completely mandatory, always.

  7. For some reason or another, the related videos sections of both episode 17 and episode 19 hate this video. I eventually remembered that I could click your channel to find it in the videos listing.

  8. Just in case, I'll try to note the little derps I notice:
    – one of the copper mines output is not connected to the belt
    – one of the smelter making magnetic rings is missing its output (31:07 on episode 16)
8:50 second to last machine on the right, you set the inserter for output from the belt to the machine instead of the opposite.
