no you can keep the knife provided you survive extracting with it, but if you die with it in your melee slot it can ALWAYS be looted
So to help ya out a little here bud. They all have suppressed weapons.
They also have really good ammo in their weapons with high penetration power
And they all wear decently good armor.
They like to hide and wait until your close or your back is turned to them to stab you. Some have a cultist knife which has 2 poison charges on it and can poison you inside and outside of raid. Only way to rid yourself of it is the antidote or pay 40k to the doctor. The priest mostly has the knife however some of the minons have it too but its kinda uncommon.
They make no noise no footsteps no foliage or bush rustle.
Only noise they make is whispers or evil chuckles before trying to stab you.
However.
Even though they try to stab you. Its their go to method so if you catch them before they can stab you you can shoot them.
Another thing is the A.I their programmed with allows them to make pretty wide flanks so try to kill them before they run away.
Also theyll try and bait your position and shoot at you from one angle whilst another is flanking your opposite to grenade you. So sitting in one spot engaging them for too long is also deadly.
However
They dont wear helmets.
So headshots are best method of taking them out quickly.
Thermal and night vision is the best method when it comes to spotting them easier. Because they like to crouch and sometimes prone in bushes and lay and wait for you to come closer.
The cultist knife with the poison is lootable off you if you die with it on you so better to have as a trophy imo. And lastly the priest has some really good loot on him most times from quest items to red keycards for labs.
