Expanding Production in Dyson Sphere Program | Part 6

The next big task for Bentham to tackle is setting up oil pumping and start producing hydrogen for the next tier of science: the Energy Matrix! But first, the factory needs expanding ready to handle this extra work. First off, Bentham doubles the graphite-based power generation, and then sets up production of plasma exciters, needed to create of oil production structures. When all that is done, we’ll be ready for red science!

  1. 28:36 I did that with interplanetary logistics hub and a bunch of ships, that was a reload of auto-save worthy considering how long it takes to craft one if you don't have all the end-stage components on hand.

    Factorio's method of exploding your inventory all over the floor isn't ideal (especially when items end up on random belts) but I prefer it to just stuff disappearing if your inventory is full.

  2. When you need to extend a production/smelting line, try shift clicking on one of the buildings. It will add the building and its recipe to your cursor. Saves copying the recipe afterwards

  3. I'm rather amused to watch you try an actual main bus. Most people gave up on the idea rather quickly, since so many items in this game are only used for a few recipes. I'm pretty sure that prisms are one of the worst offenders, being used exclusively for the plasma exciter if I'm remembering right. I wanna say that plasma exciters, in turn, are used for the wireless power tower, oil extractor, oil refinery, and… I think that's all, but I'm sleepy. ^.^;

  4. Use control click, same as in Factorio. That said, you don't really use it in Factorio either :/.
    It is weird telling someone on the internet how should they play a game they are playing…
