Get an Exclusive Look at Hitman 3's Persistent Shortcuts (Dubai Gameplay)

The Hitman series has always encouraged its players to replay missions, so it’s no surprise that one of the brand new features coming to Hitman 3 is the persistent shortcuts system. IO Interactive told us these in-game shortcuts can only be unlocked from one direction, but are designed to “encourage exploration, reward curiosity, and incentivize replayability.” Once a player has unlocked a persistent shortcut, they can access it in a future playthrough to open up new and convenient ways to access their targets. As you can see in our Hitman 3 gameplay above, this feature will allow you to approach locations from a new direction and shave those precious seconds off of your mission time.

Please note that this Hitman 3 gameplay was captured on PC by Game Informer.

  1. I wouldn't mind it if it's only on casual mode, but master difficulty should reset these.. it's all to be seen I guess how much of an impact these shortcuts will provide.

  4. Not sure I like this tbh. The levels are made to be replayed, this is like saying "Only the first couple runs are proper runs, then you enter easy mode to get it quickly over with". Moving in the detailed levels is part of the charm. They've been adding elements for casual/impatient people bit by bit… like not being able to fail a frisk… and I dislike it every time

  5. This seems like a terrible idea. Especially if you're a hardcore Hitman player like me always trying to climb the leaderboards. I'm number one on Xbox for multiple escalations and one or two missions if I remember correctly. I have no idea if they fix that bug where you can't see the people's names on the leaderboard. This seems like it's is going to be crowded with a bunch of Noobs trying to climb a ladder to kill the target as quick as possible and then get out the mission leaves little to no imagination for how people get such high scores. That was kind of the fun part of looking at the leaderboards. trying to figure out or realizing that there is some glitch or exploit, or that there must be some possible way he did it in 30 seconds… Not some stupid ladder for a secret door we can all just Google to find out… I don't know man
