  2. Battle front 3 should have all the battle front 2 content but with more content like for example I want to see someone who has the dark saber and me being a huge moff gideon fan I hope he is introduced but maybe like in the case of Luke Rey and anakin there will be multiple people with the darksaber since luke rey and anakin all had the same blue lightsaber for a while before getting new ones rey after becoming a Jedi master luke after losing his first saber and Anakin after becoming vader

  3. It's likely there will be a Battlefront 3 at some point. But if we really think Dice will be involved, Star Wars fans better pray BF6 isn't followed by a BR. That could tie them up for YEARS!!

  4. I think its far too early to be discussing BF3 right now. Battlefield 6 releases this year and there's no way Dice is going to release both that and BF3 close to each other. I'm expecting 2022 or even late 2023 if I'm being more realistic.

  5. I think with the huge influx of new players into BF2 with the Epic Store giveaway, EA should seriously reconsider reviving support for the game. With literally a million new users on PC, it's a huge wasted opportunity to expect the new players to sit and wait until BF3 hits. They don't need to deliver a new update every month. Just patch out the most pressing technical and balance issues, and put in some quality of life fixes, like giving proper map names and letting you upgrade your character as you earn points without needing to exit from a match. New maps and gameplay modes are always nice, but there's no shortage of maps, so even one or two new maps released in a year would already be plenty to keep players happy. An easy workaround is to just expand more scenarios into co-op. I'm sure most players would be happy for a co-op version of Arcade, Galactic Assault or Starfighter Battles. It's a lot less work than having to make new maps and balance them.

With the Celebration Edition, new players don't have ways to spend their credits and crystals, so new cosmetic items are always nice. Or maybe tweak the system to let people buy and upgrade star cards and weapon mods using credits and crystals for new players to catch up. At this point, it doesn't really matter anyway if a new player can buy their way up (if only to a certain point), as veteran players would already have everything they needed unlocked.

It's going to be realistically another 18 months to 3 years for a BF3, during which BF2 is going to have to carry the tentpole. BF2 had gotten a number of quality updates, and I think if DICE is wiling to add new content in a meaningful way that doesn't divide the community, people would be willing to pay for them. It would also generate a lot of goodwill and excitement for a BF3 when it drops. DICE would have learnt plenty over the years of refining BF2 that BF3 has the opportunity to not make the same mistakes and be the best Battlefront game ever.

  6. @the star bazaar hope we can come back to these words/interview and learn to NOT hype up Star Wars games from EA; admitting that you didnt have a team for a game at launch that couldnt follow up on promises etc does not excuse or forgive them for future projects. They gotta prove themselves and granted BF2 is one of my all time favorite games to this day, its a gut punch knowing how much more it could have climbed. Keep the community grounded TSB, and keep doing you. Thumbs up papi.

  7. I have faith in Dice in making a truly worthwhile Star Wars game (specifically Battlefront). My lack of faith in EA's management is disturbing though. I'm glad that EA is loosening their control of Dice for the future project(s). I think EA and their marketing schemes are despicable. I understand why video game developers would want such an influential sponsor for their games, but I feel bad for the game developers who feel leashed years later.
