No game is more iconic, more industry changing and more anticipated on the Xbox than Halo Infinite. In the mainline series of the first person flagship shooter for Xbox, Halo Infinite is the 6th in canon and among many spin-offs, versions and iterations of the franchise. Ever since Bungie left the franchise with Microsoft’s 343 Industries around 2010, all judgement and expectation has been on the new studio to deliver the Halo fans have demanded over the long decade since Master Chief’s new management. Now with Halo Infinite under a year-long delay and improvements across presentation and quality, the Fans are getting mixed signals for the state of 2021’s biggest game on the Xbox.

I was a halo fan since halo 2. Loved every halo. The moment i seen the gameplay trailer for halo infinite i dropped halo. I spent 5 years straight on halo 5. Loved every bit of because it actually followed the lore.(story was a*s tho) gameplay was top notch. The grapple was the nail in the coffin for me. Just straight up added in features akin to the spartan charge which i didnt like.
No longer interested. Its either HCS settings from halo 5. Or classic settings. There is no other type of halo to me
It wont be a real open world. Its just ganna be the same generic abilities all other shooters have. Sprint slide and clamber. Thise are fine to have but if your only other agbility is grapples then im out. Idc if its a pick up in multiplayer. If anything that makds it even more boring
"Don't expect a masterpiece"… right, okay… this alone worries me regarding this game. It's Halo, first Halo for a new more powerful system… it should be a masterpiece, something special. It's Halo.

I want Halo to be great it's a great franchise but those devs need to make other games also not just Halo

I'm not so sure this is a specific attack on Halo, but far worse – the media creating fake news about a popular hobby in their last breath for survival.
Written media is in massive decline with YouTube creators grabbing the traffic and thus ad revenue nowadays. So these desperate websites will look for bs drama where they can grab it and in some cases even make bs up just to get attention.
I say let them get on with it! The sooner they whither and rot away the better, and these articles just show how desperate and pathetic they are getting.

While I understand his info on crunch time and his need to try and protect his previous company and friends, I'm sorry Colt…all I hear is that this game will not be what it should be. Nobody ever came out and told people that they last of us, God or war, Detroit become human, etc ,etc should not be considered masterpieces and to limit their expectation….as a Xbox series x player I'm honest enough to know that this information only confirms that this game will just be yet another game that should have been better considering the power of the Xbox series x and the continued dominant quality on ps5 titles. There is a difference and Microsoft still hasn't figured it out. Ps5 exclusive are masterpieces …Xbox should equal this with their exclusive and I'm tired of hearing about the possibilities 4 years down the road. It's getting old.

7:27 i feel the this is what most developers think about consumers that we have unrealistic expectations when the bar was already set so high years ago especially with halo and other triple a titles of its kind. We were all there 15 years ago and nowadays these developers think their releasing of unfinished and unpolished games coupled with micro transactions and loads of other sbmm and pay to win bullshit is what we should expect.
