I'm pretty sure the rhododendron poison is a reference to a Sherlock Holmes story?
This mission reminds me a lot of the movie Knives Out
When Jon started saying that a terrible tragedy had befallen the older brother i thought for sure that was leading into the part where it day he went to Cambridge
Woohoo!
This map is just ripe for the full story treatment.
If Emma is the child of Montgomery who is Alexa's brother and Gregory is the child of Alexa. Emma and Gregory then got married and had a child. Patrick mentioned how he didn't want to be involved with the inbreeding of the rich elite. Who's gonna tell him?
Pushing her off the balcony would have been terribly ironic.
Never would have thought Devon would ever make an appearance in a video game, but here we are, I guess.
What's this? a hitman mission where you don't actually have to kill anyone? now this is a twist I didn't expect. WOOH WOOH WOOH, SOME ONE ACTULLY RECONIZED 47? thats a first.
Does anyone else find that โthis ladder will forever be accessibleโ mechanic incredibly immersion breaking?
Jon playing Hitman on a level with an English Maner with 47 becoming the Detective is perfection.
Really wanting to see a return of the full story. This mission would Be absolutely perfect!
Play it on master! You've played the rest! No excuse
Wow. I actually wish you didn't have to kill her. I feel sad watching her.
Please kill all the jerks and let Edward inherit. The poor guy could use some success.
Alexa Carlisle knows one of the world's most deadly assassins is in her.
Alexa when she sees he's dressed as her undertaker: You've got to be shitting me.
The target wasn't afraid because she figured you were here to help her, not kill her. She said as much.
Edit: Jesus Fuck, the target addressed you as the undertaker AFTER she figured out your identity when you were in the detective costume. The developers don't even pretend to care anymore, do they.
Omg I just watched yesterdayโs ep this morning before class n now thereโs another one ๐
This video didnโt show up in my sub box Jon. Would probably explain the views. Was wondering where it was, so I decided to check your channel and itโs been there for almost half a day.
i'm not really satisfied with that mystery. given you didn't actually NEED to solve the murder, i would've liked if it were more complicated.
it just ends up that most suspects had an alibi, the culprit left evidence everywhere, and then you can just catch them in the act later.
New york had a single target like 3 missions ago
Wow, first 2 eps John does the most boring murders ever.. #1 stand in a corner when an npc glitches out in black space #2 solve the crime but shes already dead.. its like the worst playthrough ever. Atleast he went back and chose a better ending.
npc goes back into routine after dialog: "she know I'm here to kill her and accepts her fate"
Everybody thinks that the target knows that agent 47 wants to kill her, but this is wrong right? She said that she expected 47 to kill her, not to help her, but afterwards she said that she might be wrong about that since she has been wrong about a lot lately. Doesn't this mean she thinks that 47 just wants the file? If she did still think 47 wanted her dead, why not alert the guards. If she is to proud to alert the guards, why hire them specificly for agent 47 as said in the intro.
If you're going to call the achievements "Eliminate Ravens" why make the birds look and sound like crows? Come on game!
Jesus Diana, talk about backseat investigating…
Hey Jon, thanks for another great episode! ๐
i just realized that in between me playing the early Hitman games and watching your videosnow I seem to have missed a lot of backstory.
I'd love to see a "Hitman – the full story" maybe some time after you finished 3… ๐
That guard is the worst one ever, couldn't even hear his boss screaming & didnt notice her being buried
The poison was shortlived, Rebecca couldn't have put in the poison before the conference call started
I find it funny how they think you can install a gravestone at a freshly dug grave. It's not that you can't, but it would be unwise.
This is such a bonkers comparison, but when you were feeling conflicted about killing Alexa in her screaming room my brain immediately went to Hamlet arguing himself out of killing his uncle while his uncle was praying.
5:42
20:15
43:14
Over there
Liking the video just for the title alone.
48:45 He used that cane with all the exaggerated swagger of a genetically-engineered assassin.
if you convince her that her brother actually comitted suicide, she comitts suicide as well.
Seems a little out of charecter for 47 to turn down the niece murder.
Itd be somewhat poetic on the 47th aniversary of her pushing her brother over to be pushed by 47.
Love this YouTube channel love watching ur videos keep it up
33:45 For a moment I thought Alexa was signing as she spoke and wondered if one of the family was deaf before I realized she just has a really strange talk animation cycle.
It would have been nice if sheโd recognised the voice and played along instead.
Please also give a playthrough of fallout the frontier
You left an Astoundingly Awesome Tales on the patio…
I'm just going to wait to watch this one until I've played the level myself, been looking forward to this, will compare notes later!
This… Honestly may be my favorite mission ever.
The internal story is brilliant, and despite knowing the overall story was going to throw a wrench in the works it still felt like a satisfying progression, upping the stakes and moving things fowards. Gameplaywise it plays into the idea of a level where inexperienced players can get an easy kill, but experienced players get deep story satisfaction, and some really unique gameplay moments.
Solve a murder, follow it up with another. Is that a relay race of murder investigation?
Cutscenes in this game look like they got imported from a game made in 2005
I like how the map works in Hitman 3.
Recovering from wrist surgery, eating grapes and binging MATN ๐๐ฏ
โAnd then there were noneโ in the cutscene right after a murder mystery mission… absolutely brilliant reference
you know that fallout: the frontier is out, right?
Now I kinda want an entire game like this level where Jon can go around solving mysteries and commenting on them
