12.12’s introduction of Lighthouse gave us some new ways to gain scav karma, as well as an introduction of some new bugs. This guide goes into the ways to gain and lose karma, the bonuses and penalties, and the fastest way to get to max rep.

I love the concept of scav karma but i hate the convoluted bullshit way it works right now. What's the difference between a Raider and a Scav Guard? Are they the same but only if within proximity to a scav boss. if so what's the distance? It's so overly complex for no reason. Also why does taking an extract as a PMC have any effect on Scav karma? Also they need to make scav bosses, raiders, scav guards look completely different from regular scavs. They should look absolutely different from head to toe not even close.
Yeah scav karma has been great. I love it when I kill 2-3 players in lighthouse and get 0 rep because game broke. Real big shame.
I have EOD and I had around (can't remember exact number) -0.3 rep at the beginning of the wipe, because some genius at BSG thought minus rep for killing santa on PMC was a good idea in Tarkov – a KOS game.

increase penalty for bad scavs please, or at least make them look like extra ragged or something, system is way too lenient right now, this game is alot better with factions

I wish they would put a LARGE invisible infinite HP hitbox around your scav. That way, when you clearly get shot at by another scav but he whiffs, you dont lose the karma for killing him.
Hey can you make a video about how the scav karma really isn't working right now and how as you get better karma you get worse stuff. Ever since I got above 2.0 the boss guards have been actively hunting me
Hey @Onepeg..psst, I got something for you to test. 1. Load scav with grenade. 2. Shoot but don't kill NPC scav. 3. Grenade self. 4. Get .02 scav rep for helping scavs instead of the normal. 01 for extracting. 😉
getting 4 points doing car exfil + scav/pmc exfil, and having luck to end a scav raid with 0.04 points, you will top 6 with 50 scav runs… wich is really bold of you… nice.

I killed 3 player Scavs as a Scav myself, and I felt terrible about it. They were all kitted out at an air drop, I couldn’t see their clothing as I was probably 100 meters away. I dropped the first with a headshot and then they lit me up. I continued fighting and pushing, and ended up killing two more. It wasn’t until I saw no tags that I knew they weren’t PMCs, and I didn’t know I killed 3 until the end of raid. It was on lighthouse, so if you guys see this, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were Scavs 🙁

Look for takilla on factory, have him aggro on you, run to the place under medical. Scavs like to congregate in that place. Turn around and shoot all the scavs when the boss is near them for like 5 seconds. Boom.

This is so fucking hard. I've spent weeks doing car extracts and trying to do PMC+Scav extracts and I'm only at 2.70 rep. I got 2 joint extracts on Reserve but gave up on them for the other maps because player scavs just kill me on Interchange and I've never seen PMCs near extracts on Lighthouse or Woods. I'm trying to queue into Factory to kill PMCs and bad scavs but I'm always the first to die without shooting a single bullet. You have to play this as a literal job to reach 6.00. The incentive to preserve my scav karma is lessening because the chances of me reaching max karma before end of wipe are very slim. I can think of better ideas:
– punish bad scavs for killing innocent scavs HEAVILY, like 0.5 karma
– reward scavs more just for getting out, like 0.05
– don't punish scavs for retaliating to near misses
– have higher probability of lootable coloured smoke grenades near joint extracts, which can be used to help attract players to the extract
After some "disagreements" with Santa, I just reset the wipe. I was at -5.5. I was going to be behind the curve either way, so I did what was good for me.

What a shit system. I have literally -0.33 so dumb all the player acavs are kos. So what's the point of scav runs, you can't even defend yourself it's so stupid
I feel like punishing the people who make a mistake who have max rep should be the same as it is for everyone else
So many questions have been answered! Thank you! The only thing that I have for sure experienced was killing a player scav after he killed my teammate on Interchange. I lost rep at the for that raid and was confused. It may have been a bug..? But unfortunately because I’m currently trying to up scav rep. Guess i just have to take a bullet. 🤣😅😳🤯
how I see it is when you get 6 karma you just become a scav boss
So I may have found a glitch with karma. I keep getting shot at by scav boss's even though I em 0.37 karma but I was not getting shot at when I was 0.3-0.10
I had got my legs and one of my arms blacked out by a player scav so I killed him and I went from -0.27 to -0.38
I got helping scav boss for killing a PMC that just killed tagilla (like his body was still falling) on factory, only time I have ever gotten it
Why do i hear Lester from GTAV
My buddy has .17 karma, I have 1.3. Over 10 scav runs he has gotten a merin key and a dorm marked key. I have gotten, at best, 35000 roubles. He also got a hillside key roughly a week ago, and was negative. We scav together almost every single time as well. I’m thinking certain numbers have a higher chance to spawn with rare loot, while higher rep spawns you with better gear and less rare loot.
for duo extract, does my scav share the same pool as my PMC?

So if I go into Woods and do coop extract as a PMC, then do it again as a scav, I don't get 0.25×2? I'd instead get the reduced 0.25+0.13?

In regards to scavs helping you out when you’re attacked. I’ve had it seemingly happen once. On reserve my friend got killed by a bad player scav as I was coming out of the building, and I killed him but sustained some injuries. A pretty beefy AI scav then just came up to me and stood by me while I was healing. Nice gesture but a little late to really help. Hope that system gets worked out a little better.
This scav carma is bugged af im on something like -0.50 and im getting scavs with pilgrims, and lab cards, while my friend is 2.20 and his getting naked scavs with pistols

Fence and Scav faction see all. The implication of scav karma is braindead, goes against the definition of scav that the game gives and turns fence into an omnipotent god linking scavs with my pmc? And/or saying he has spies / surveillance on every map but doesn’t punish my pmc for slaughtering 15+ scavs every raid???

I took the woods pmc x scav as a scav once. It was insane. The guy gave me a fully kitted m700 with the rk2 grip, and we even picked up another scav! Fucking incredible, I will never forget that whoever you are
