I like this season besides the mythics
the way they did quests this season completely killed my mood to play its really confusing to me that i simply cant be bothered, plus they removed being able to do challenges in team rumble and i hate having to sidetrack my games for challenges but then i dont level up, feeling like i just wasted hours playing. Ive been playing apex the last few months bc challenges are things i can actually do without having to sidetrack and go somewhere for a challenge which feels way better. Plus the lack of major map changes as well, feels super stale coming back from a game with 3 different maps in rotation.
Tbh I'd prefer the rift to go over the shockwave launcher, now it's easy for people to get in to your box without having to pickaxe or shoot just use the launcher, that's so fair while you're trying to revive or heal, or when a sweaty just uses it with the symbiote and pulls you up in the air so really it'll still take forever for peoe like us that don't play on a daily or only 2 to 3 hours a day to get anywhere with this game
In my opinion I feel pubs are more sweaty than Arenas now. Play at night time and you get the worst experience trust me
If you're bored of the game, idk how people would feel if you did a vid or two on emote battles in party that's something I enjoy watching even though you'd win them all lol
Skill based matchmaking this season in pubs is almost as sweaty as if i'm playing arena which is NOT fun at all especially when you consider the fact that you jump into pubs and not sweating your balls off in creative+the symbosites are extremely broken

I quite like this season, I just wish the xp wasn’t so awful if you’re not doing punch cards you may as well just punch the wall, and I know there’s imposters but last season the xp was great I shouldn’t have to play a mode I don’t like just to level up
For me, what makes the season worth playing is unlocking the Toona Fish skin variations. I really like the art style the art team has gone in and goofing off in Squads. The season is kinda special to me as I just got my first solo win last night. Took me about 4 years but I’m happy.
Season 7 was ass
I know the feeling with this season I can’t for the life of me get a win (I’m playing on switch), the new challenge system is not fun at all and our new skins for the season both in the battlepass and the item shop are just not that good/retreaded ideas, hopefully coming patches will improve it but right now I’m just bored with this game
The sideways is a fun addition to the game but other than that nothing really to crazy has happened yet, I think during fortnightmares things will get better

The season is mid-tier for me at the moment. Lobbies are too sweaty with everybody cranking to height, and I'm just annoyed seeing that every fight. Weapon pool is okay; the only thing I would change is an actual sniper to fight with. Overall, I hope it gets better throughout the season, but we will have to wait and see.

Guys you need to consider, it's a pandemic, they are trying, it's hard to work in a pandemic, and it causes alot of stress, so please don't expect alot in a pandemic.

ITF you're not alone…everything you stated is exactly how I feel about this season…to me it's boring, disappointing and the fact that there's no sniper rifles is the last straw…Anyways, it's probably my least favorite season so far…and we're only one week 3? Ugh
Season 3 and 4 from chapter 2 are the best.. it's been dull until season 7.. then they go back to rubbish again.. why don't they stop upsetting the community and let us pick our favourite season and bring it back.. I'm voting marvel all the way if that ever happens.. or the one was midas
I disagree with you, in my full opinion all chapter 1 seasons were great, but in chapter 2 season 1 was good seasons 2,3,4 sucked, 5 was great 6 sucked and 7 and 8 are good
Heres my thoughts.
The loot pool is bad. I still have my favorite the rapid fire which is cool. But most of the weapon choices are awful. Its cool that the lever action is back in regular floor loot which is cool because the tac’s were becoming a bit of a problem. But who the fuck honestly asked for the charge shotgun’s to come back? Like they are good as starting loot. But once you get around to a purple or gold its literally no contest. Burst ar’s are cool to have back but the only good ones are the purple and gold burst’s because any other rarity (other than mystic) is pure trash. Also WHO USES THE SUPPRESSED AR’S?! Honestly i have not found ONE person that uses the suppressed weapons. Even in higher rarities. The only advantage i see to even having them be a option is if your stuck with a blue burst and want a AR thats as consistent as a regular AR. But even then its only to blue onward. If you found a grey or a green burst. Your stuck with them. Also whoever keeps asking to vault the bolt sniper needs to be fired. The bolt sniper is literally the most basic sniper you can ever ask for. Its not overpowered. Its not even broken at all! Its a basic sniper! Now the only sniper options are the exotic dragon breath. (Which is expensive as fuck) and rail gun (which is hard to find) and the automatic sniper is just a more annoying scoped AR. The mythics are cool but the new sideways weapons i downright HATE. The minigun is alright but the accuracy is shit and the sideways rifles BY GOD DO I HATE THAT GUN! It is the WORST. Even as legendary or mystic the gun just SUCKS the thing can only land a shot when it feels like it. And lets talk about map changes here CAN WE PLEASE STOP TREATING EACH NEW LOCATION AS A EVENT? Seriously have we gotten to the point where them adding a new location has to be a event? We dont need build up we just want it to be there when the season starts. I like the returning slip streams but the lack of map changes is now getting irritating. WE WERE PROMISED CORAL CASTLES DESTRUCTION BUT ITS STILL THERE! WE WERE FUCKING TRICKED GET THAT SHIT LOCATION GONE! Getting xp despite the changes is a confusing fucking mess. Like why do we need to now go in game to even get the challenges in the first place? JUST HAVE IT BE THERE FOR US TO COMPLETE! WE SHOULDNT NEED TO GO INTO GAME TO GET A FUCKING CHALLENGE. Finally the worst offender. Team rumble. I seriously am starting to hate team rumble now. Can we fucking PLEASE have team rumble back to the way it was BEFORE chapter 2 season 7? Thats all we ask yet WE STILL GET SHITTY CHANGES TO THE GAME MODE THAT MAKES IT WORSE! Nobody asked for a smaller circle! Having a shotgun, AR, and a sniper is cool to have at spawn but it gets annoying now that literally every weapon rarity is now in it again when it used to be rare or higher. And thats irritating as fuck. AND ITS ESPECIALLY IRRITATING WHEN THE ONLY EPIC OR LEGENDARY WEAPONS YOU FIND ARE OF THOSE SHITTY SIDEWAYS WEAPONS AND THEY MAKE THEM SPAWN OUTSIDE OF SIDEWAYS ZONES! WHO THE FUCK HONESTLY ASKED FOR THIS?! Epic games somehow has become literally like a parent that only wants to listen when they want to. Makes the changes when they want to. But whenever you ask for important stuff THAT is when they ignore you. I honestly hope fortnitemares saves this season because by the end of it epic games should have a new tagline that reads “epic games! We break what isn’t broken!”

I'm gonna get slammed for this but I don't care. IMO they need to overhaul building from the ground up for pub matches. Epic let it go out of control in favor of "pros" and now we're in this insta-build and insta-edit mess. Everybody I know that loved this game, and I mean truly loved this game left because of the overbuilding. They should keep it like that in competitive so people can keep grinding and get better at that type of gameplay but it's not what Fortnite should be. This game should be about goofing around and having fun playing as whacky characters. Building is still what makes it unique, but they should revamp it so casual players can enjoy this game again. I'm willing to bet if Epic did that, this game is gonna have a huge revival.
I am enjoying this season a lot, but my big issue is still the xp system. even if they buff the amount you get, there is still to few challenges available to level up
