  1. It is not a good game to take a break and come back to. I took a few years off and it is cheaper to buy again than upgrade which means I loose my old characters. They should really support a full upgrade system not just the layers chapter.

  3. Ah as someone who used to play Eso for a few years non stop, I pretty much agree with 99% of this video!
I cannot agree more with how painfully easy pve content is other than “instances” like dungeons and trials. It’s saddening that a huge part of the game is basically just one hit kill mobs that people farm over and over just to burn through quests, for gear, or for gold, etc…
Even when I knew nothing about builds, just putting in the trainee set from the starter zone and wearing lvl 10 gear I can basically complete the entire main story line.
That’s why I primarily played pvp, but I would have loved for pve to be more interesting.

  4. Thank you for the video! I just wanted to put here to thank you for the amazing work on the website. It must have been tiresome to change the CP setup for all the builds. Seriously good job and thank you!

  5. What really got me in too the game was the crafting and treashure hunting and collecting, Yes you can basicaly go out in the world, dwell in open dungeons, caves and find awesome stuff for look for your character look or your own home, and oh man the story and lore – you will certainly love the questing if you are a big elder scroll fan of such. cause like every quest in game is so detailed and rich of it.

    Best housing system ever!

What i don't like bout the game is the performance as you mentioned especially in pvp, You will basically run around and suddenly you are dead and you see some sonic speed running enemies players passing by in an eyeblink. Had such experience during the pvp event this year and man that made me want too avoid it haha.

  6. I'm in a spot where I really like playing mmo's for the story and exploration but I can't stand failing an encounter because my teammates can't figure out how to do it, along with blaming everyone else in the process. I always think back to when I was playing eso and my team wiped during a dungeon boss (not sure which one) halfway through and I just tryharded super hard and ended up soloing it. I felt like I mattered and wasn't just a taunt machine, capable of pulling my own weight and that's what's missing from most other mmo's I think.

  7. You forgot to mention that dungeons are TERRIBLE in this game, especially normal dungeons. Players give 0 fucks about others and just run thru the dungeon as fast as possible already killing the first boss solo while newbies are still accepting the quest at the entrance. The dungeons dont have proper blockades for story sections where ,in example in WoW the mob will spawn after the story telling or you will be in a cinematic thing like on a boat or getting carried by a falcon while the npc talks. Two times i even got insulted for having a low CP level of 220 by high level dds.

In ESO you will have no idea what is happeneing in the dungeon plot wise because you dont have time to listen to Npcs or read anything. Not only that but often times players SKIP entire dungeons by running thru all the trashmobs and jumping off a cliff or something because the game has no mechanic like other mmos that makes the trash follow/teleport to you thru the entire dungeon if you do that. So fuck you if you have an exp scroll active or an armor set that gives 70%-100% more exp from killed enemies and would like to profit from that.

If You dont know the tactics in a vet dungeon because its your first time there ppl will leave or kick you and not try to teach you more often then not. DDs abuse the queue system and que as fake tanks/fake healers to avoid long waiting times by taking one of those spots away from real tanks and healers. Being tank/heal also feels pointless because even glass canon DDs do not take damage from regular trash mobs and have way too much selfheal, even in veteran dungeons.

The boss mechanics are often counter intuitive, like the one where you have to keep the adds alive and let them attack your healers/dds because if you kill them the boss gets a 90% dmg reduction shield for the rest of the fight. Deadly floor effects will sometimes have confusing colors like light green, purple or black where you dont know if you are supposed to get in there because its a safezone to protect you from something else or not.

Dungeon in this game are an absolute nightmare.

  8. Perfectly timed video! I'm wanting to get into this but also wanna try to get my gf to play as well. She has a little experience as a super casual wow player. Anyone got a good video or something that might hype her up on it or something?

  9. I've experienced that ability lag/lock-up you're talking about at 12:00, I initially thought it was my internet, then my PS4, then I learned about how it's actually from the game. How disappointing.

  10. performance is still utter garbage, i reinstall once a months for almost 17 months now and give it a try. it was the love of my life and it is heartbreaking to see and say that this game has become the biggest customer scam in a long time…
