  1. So I played the demo through once now doing all the side quest and getting to level 7. so after seeing all the destiny guys playing this I though I give it a go myself.
The story is silly and the characters are strange at first but the demo leaves me interested. What happened and what comes next ?
Gameplay wise I sonst like the cover shooter style but the shooting feels great and the weapons are varied. Not in looks so one sniper pretty much was like any other ( of course no real loot here to find yet ) but compared to a shotgun they feel different in style sound and feedback.
I detest the ai though. Yes they flank and throw grenades but they stay in hiding to long and have an obvious aimbot. The amount of times they shot me before they got out of cover and very shot hitting means you can’t just run out in the open if you don’t Play the Tank.
The loot itself looks interesting with giving bonuses to abilities right away so you can very well customize.
All in all I am optimistic but still waiting for the full game before I make any decisions. I am hopeful though.
Also please make the levels better. This first world was nothing to Worte home about.

  2. If people want a goofy gun/ability game, then let them have it, I want games to have more variety all around. Makes each developer try harder and we usually get better games as a result!

  3. I love the Story it reminds me of good old 80's – 90's action movies with over the top action, bigger than live character and bad dialogue/story telling 10/10.

  4. I think the game is hilarious. It almost feels like the main character knows this is all bullshit. One thing I hated was the sticky cover mechanism, I got stuck to a wall soo often. Another thing was the difficulty, I don't think I died once

  5. Honestly I enjoyed the demo and so far they did what the other developers failed at… Kept their mouth shut and worked their asses off the fact that Cross-play was enabled during the demo with a couple of issues here and there but the game has potential.

  6. They lean a little too heavy into the story purposely bad bit imo. Like by the end of the demo I feel like I don't care about any of the characters and neither side is worth saving and should just be wiped out.

  7. I mean it’s okay. Feels like Mass Effects combat with Gears Gore. No idea why Anthem is compared to only in it being released recently even though there have been other looter shooters after it. Though I can see myself putting some more hours into it after experiencing the demo, Square Enix hasn’t done anything that hasn’t been done before. So I’d treat outriders as yet another looter shooter to have been added to the already existing group within the genre. I’m only interested in running coop with my buddies honestly. Like godfall I don’t really see myself playing the game solo.

  8. So in Outriders Lore: Human/Altered hybrid are the Exos in Destiny's Lore. The Altered are the Guardians according to the other races(mainly the fallen) perspective. And the Humans are just humans. 🤔🤓

  9. 3rd person, bloom shooting, and what feels like on-rails missions. I just couldn't get into this.. yeah the surroundings systems and potential for builds is promising, but the core loop is meh
