► Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Story Synopsis

Vampire®: The Masquerade-Bloodlines™ delivers a new type of RPG experience-one that blends all the core elements of a traditional RPG with the graphical richness, immediacy and brutal combat of a first-person action game. The game plunges players into the dark and gritty vampire underworld of modern-day L.A. as a creature of the night. Players will develop their character’s powers, interact with other characters and embark on story-driven quests as they battle mortals and other vampires with an incredible array of vampire powers and weapons. Powered by Valve’s Source Technology, the game is based on White Wolf’s popular Vampire: The Masquerade pen-and-paper RPG series and its official clans.

Los Angeles always had a thriving night life but no one really knows what lurks behind the glittering lights and seedy nightclubs. While mortals live their normal lives, clans of vampires conspire and scheme to further their own mysterious goals. As a newly-sired vampire, you are put to trial by the Prince of the city for your sire’s wrongdoings. A lone voice spares you from the Final Death and you become a pawn in the Prince’s plans.

Traverse the dark world of modern-day Los Angeles in Troika’s swan song, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Visit raves and explore the secret underground caverns of Downtown to seedy hotels and exclusive mansions on Hollywood’s infamous Sunset Strip. Embark on a variety of story-driven quests as you explore an open world filled with side missions, multiple paths, and strange denizens to interact with. Yours is a living world, even though you cease to be.

– Swear allegiance to one of seven unique clans, then use an array of vampiric disciplines, such as Dementation, Celerity, or Animalism, to achieve your goals.
– Superbly written dialogue with a unique feel and tone for each clan.
– Customize your Kindred the way you see fit, from the dialogue choices you make to the skills you improve.

  1. Great episode name!

There's a sign saying "ramen" in front of the noodle shop.

It's a massage parlour. The girls won't care about customers being in there. The gang members keeping a kidnapped girl there will though.

Wow. I didn't know you had such strong views on bathing. Even Jack isn't that against it!

There were people to stop you. You killed them all. (Innocents too).

You've seen the hostess, she is on the first floor and opens the lift for you.

  2. People having sex in a dark corner is a perfect place to get blood. One person will leave first, making the second person an easy target.
    – The Lotus Blossom is full of Blood Dolls. Don't kill them or it will cost a humanity. Basically, from now on you have infinite free blood. The guy in the water was also a Blood Doll, and killing him cost a humanity. All of the Blood Dolls refill. The guy at the front desk is added by the plus patch, iirc, and he should be a Blood Doll. I would save before feeding on him because sometimes npcs added by the plus patch do not refill like normal Blood Dolls.

  3. 25:42 if your seduction or persuasion are high enough you get an option to convince the guy to let you go without a fight and Mr. Ox actually seems disappointed at this outcome, he obviously sent you there with the full intention of killing the guy.

  4. Hearing your disgust at having to do the Lin mission has been the best part of this entire playthrough!

You may be a fan of the discreet elevator in the Red Dragon, but I've seen people get completely stuck and lost there. The hostess moves off to the player's left and the PC instinctively follows her, oblivious to the doors opening behind them. By the time they turn around the doors are closed again. Having the doors blend in with the wallpaper and the button for them hidden underneath the rostrum is a really bad piece of level design.
