Medieval Dynasty – EP35

Join me as I delve into the world of Medieval Dynasty and try to take myself from a mere peasant and create a wealthy family. We’ll farm, hunt … poorly, and craft and trade our way to success hopefully … let’s see what happens

  1. A second level of stone is upgraded with limestone, a second level of wood or wattle is upgraded with daub. You need to rebuild the storage and crafting and can NOT upgrade the walls (note no edit option on the ghost wall). Level1 is stick, level2 is log and level3 is stone. Unless maybe if pull it down just the walls and leave the frame, but I doubt it would work. A home you can upgrade 1 wall at a time without taking the whole building down

  2. a few things i would suggest with the new village is one. nothing says you cant take the time to plan it out by just placing a ton of foundations down and build things up as you go. also suggest making something like a boarding house area with the higher pop houses so you dont have to scramble immeadilty to make a home for new workers and well the possible future kids from everyone. also maybe make something like a builders camp for you so you can stay there more then one day as you build things up until you stay there permanently like a campfire and something else.

also in changing the time scale in your save you may be able to edit the save somehow to change how many days per season if you up for it

  3. Its not that weird that a guy would have a slightly younger wife. With how humans do, a slightly older husband would have more resources if you're the wife to be and that is good for the baby raising.

  4. Also for food production. You should use that giant clearing between where you want to build you town and the tree line for fields. Seeing as how 50 squares of cabbages has yielded more than you can eat in 3 years, you should use most of the space to grow flax and wheat since you eventually need those. And flax is valuable from what I've seen others do.

  5. When building a simple house, you have to replace the wooden hammer in the middle of the project. you've built 6? buildings now with the iron hammer and haven't replaced it yet. It also has a faster animation and reset time so each item added takes less time and building goes faster, AND it uses less stamina to use.
You increased your total storage capacity by 500 bringing it to 1000kg.

  6. save some space for a town square in your new village. once it will grow in size it would feel unrealistic without a small area at the centre where people can gather (like the outdoor fireplace in the AI village where you hire people from). I doubt that the games mechanics give a d whether or not you have a square in your village but the devs might introduce some additional items in the future for that very purpose. who knows!
plus: would be the most terrific spot for your tavern 😉

  7. The woodshed needs a larger quantity of trees to be more productive. In the first village you built it away from trees that's why you had to cut down so many trees for firewood on your own.
Anyway why using stones for houses when you can use daub

  8. Apparently when you kill an animal you have to take your spears or arrows back before skinning the animal, it says you will lose them otherwise.
Also if you build a campfire away from your home and sleep at it you end up back in your bed when you wake up.
Don’t know how far from your house this works.
Don’t the stumps take two years for a tree to grow there again?
Your storages are doubled when you have two of them buildings.
    Enjoy your wedding. 🙂
